Looking for input on light colored walking shoes

Dear YLF members, I wonder if you would be so kind as to give me some opinions on these three pairs of shoes. My goal is to find a light colored “walking shoe” that I can walk in all day, in spring/summer/fall, on city cobblestones, in botanical gardens and museums etc. Not intended for fitness walking/running, already have that covered. All three of these would fit the bill. I’m trying to buy more modern/stylish shoes this year. I'd be wearing them mostly with slacks/jeans/ or maybe occasionally skirts. I’m 62 and not trying to look 25 but want to be comfortable and stylish. What descriptions come to mind? Frumpy? Too sporty? Very modern and cool? Meh? Awesome? Too old? Too young?

I have a soft spot for metallics, but I'm liking the bottom one in pic 1. Any way you could add a side view of each? I always like to see the side profile of a shoe to evaluate it fully.

I prefer the style of #3... A bit more classy. I'd also suggest these Sofft "walking sandals" (in the silver color) as an option. They are a new purchase and are working VERY well for me!

Of the ones you're posting here, I like the khaki with off-white fabric. They just have a little bit of unexpected style, IMO.

I personally love my new sandals from Cobb Hill. They feel great on my feet, and I'm sure I could walk in them all day long. I have the khaki color.

Janet, I agree on the side views, posting them here. (for some reason my browser crashes when I try to add to my original posting). Murph11 and bettycrocker I have ruled out sandals for this particular usage, too easy to get stones/pebbles into the shoe which is distracting and awkward. (I do have nice walking sandals for other uses).I love the Sofft brand, go with them often and have recently discovered Cobb Hill will put on my list of brands to look for in general.

That is helpful! I still like the look of 2 the best, although you'll need to be at peace with the fact that the white around the sole will probably get dirty quickly.

One other thing...I'm going with warm neutrals this spring....been on a grey/cool kick several years so time for a change...

Love the two-tones. The tan ones are fine, looking better to me from the side. The metallic perfed one is good also but the big shoes strings throw me off from ranking it as tops.

If you are moving away from gray, maybe you should go with that and get the tan ones.

cjh....I agree on the shoelaces on the perforated ones, was already thinking of getting some "round" ones, and shorter, to replace the flat/long ones if I go with these shoes.

I agree with Janet in liking the tan with white best. I am almost 70 and like the athletic flat as a comfortable walking shoe and more versatile than a sneaker.
I also recommend this Eileen Fisher Allot style as being a great walking shoe that is more stylish.

Joy, I have not considered Eileen Fisher shoes in the past but might do so now, although like the clothing they are pricey.

Janet as you noted the two-tone ones have a jute trim around the bottom that will get dirty really quickly, plus they are canvas so the whole shoe may suffer the same fate.

I decided the tan solid ones are a style I'm not quite sure about and I think I'd prefer them in white/black/grey so will postpone such a style until I'm in the mood for those colors again.

So the metallic perforated ones are the winners. They are Easy Spirit Dafina, man-made/"vegan" which will be a first for me. I avoid non-leather shoes since my feet perspire a lot, but the perforations will take care of that. Will get some different and shorter laces for them.

Good choice - they will go well with warm neutrals and look a little dressier than my next fav which were the two-tone shoes.

Bonnie G did we answer your question about the grey shoes Joy posted? The pointy toe/ankle strap ones are Eileen Fisher. If you were asking about the ones with straps across the instep, Joy would have to answer that since the brand is not shown on the picture.

My picks were 1 or 3, and I see you went with 3--yay! I like the idea of trying different laces with them. I have two pairs of street sneakers, and they have in common some interesting laces, which I love. You can't tell in the Find photo, but the Mephistos have silver threads running through the laces--so fun!

I needed a pair of comfy shoes to wear when running errands or just taking the dog for a walk and bought these pair of Grasshoppers at DSW. So comfy that I am going to buy another pair in a different perhaps lighter color. Also, very reasonably priced.
