Looking for comfortable yet dressy black booties (heel under 2")

In preparation for boot apocalypse (waving to Zap!) I realized that I have a bit of a hole in my boot wardrobe. I don't have "universal, all-occassion" black boots that I could take with me while traveling. I have some older black booties from Merrell with a wedge heel that I normally wear in the winter and they are looking a bit worn out. Also a pair of fairly high-heeled, UWP-style booties from Aldo. Also a pair of black heeled oxfords. And black moto boots (DV Storm). I figured I got all my bases covered but now I am planning a few work trips and realizing that it would be nice to have a pair of dressy-looking, very comfortable (for lots of walking) black booties that could be worn under dress pants or over skinny pants. I think that black would be best since it would work with grey, black, brown pants.

It says 3 inch heel but I don't think that's right...or maybe the wedge just makes them feel easier to wear.

Oh, I like both of these! But forgot to mention - I need these for winter trips to cold and snowy destinations so my guess is, suede is not very practical. I will also need to pay attention to the sole (need to be not too slippery).

The Aquatalias that Jenava showed are weatherproof, so they should meet your requirements, and I do like the toe shape better than the La Canadiennes.

I've never owned any, but they are known for being comfortable.

The Clarks Bendables look nice, too! I have two pairs of Bendables heeled oxfords - one pair has about 1.5" heel and I can walk for miles in these; the others have 2.5" heel and I wear them for work but not for travel.

Makrame, I tried on the Clark Leydens- they were very comfy and fit TTS. I ended up passing because they looked too much like a pair I already own (so obviously I like the style!).

The pair I already own I use exactly as you described- for work trips (conferences with lots of walking) under suit trousers and they are an absolute workhorse for my business travel capsule.

Aquatalia and La Canadienne are both excellent for cold, wet weather but still look dressy! I've found that especially Aquatalia has come out with some excellent styles.
