This whole outfit is really cute, but I'm wondering where to find some nice skinny leg dress pants. btw, what's the difference between skinny leg and cigarette pants? Thanks!

I tried the Gap Really Skinny Pants in black (for work) but they had a pretty casual vibe. Do you remember the post Angie did on a client (back in the fall) who sported black skinny dress pants as part of an office-appropriate suit? I'm pretty sure they were woven and they looked kind of silky (not stretchy and clingy).

I second Claire's recommendation. I don't have them but I've seen the Gap Really Skinny in black and they are quite nice. Definitely worth trying on in any case.

What a coincidence. I pinned that same outfit on my pinterest account a day or two ago.

I bought a pair of slim black pants at Jones New York store about a month ago. They came in beige too but the black was nicer.

Angie, are they both Gap Real Skinny?
I have BR Martin in black - unfortunately Gap ones did not work for me. Too bad Maarting have to retire until fall - too hot in them now!

Thanks for these leads, friends! Your photos make me want to look now, Angie, but I'll use patience and wait for that shopping window! In the meantime, I'll peek at the BR Martins and see how they fit on me. What are Maarting pants, Sveta? I'm guessing skinnies and cigarette pants are the same and even though I don't smoke, I like the name cigarette pants better, because they seem to have a history to them when said like that and I can think of all the great women who wore them in earlier decades!

Sveta, I gave my BR Martins away years ago. They can't compare to these in my opinion. Much better fit and fabric quality. One is from the Gap (Real Skinny) and the other from BR.

I have the Levi Demi-Curve skinnies in black and have been enjoying them. They have a lower rise than I really want so I am going to try to find some mid rise ones.

No pics, but I'll chime in on the Gap Real Skinny pants - love them. Bought them last August. Hold their shape really well - I am careful to wash in cold water and air dry.
Also have the Gaps Black Cord (thin wale - almost like velvet) jean legging - these are divine, and very flattering.

How about these? I have this maker and fabric pants in a boot cut and they are so comfortable and good quality. I would probably shorten this pair if they were really this long on me, to be more ankle length, like the ones in the first link.

Oh, and as to the original question on the difference between skinny legs and cigarette pants. I would say, in my book, skinny legs are like the ones with the dotty peplum top, and Angie's and the ones I linked to, where the shape of the leg is seen all the way down. And cigarette pants are like the ones you linked to, where the fabric doesn't skim in and show the shape at the knees, etc.

Angie, which model/cut are your black BR ones from the photos, that look like they are 5-pocket style? I have straight black/black jeans/pants on my wish list for the fall, and your look like they might fit the bill.
