They also come in blue. I can find more if you tell me what's the max wedge height, do you prefer the toes to be more pointy or more rounded or it does not matter, what colors and textures ( leather, patent, suede) you prefer and so on.

Tanya, you rock! You know that?? You really honestly and truly rock.

Those are a great shoe, but they look black to me (even though the website says grey). I'd like a 2-3 inch wedge, that kind of not quite pointy, but not quite round toe. I'd like to avoid suede because of the damage our weather can do. I'm open to patent, crinkled patent, or matte leather, or even something textured, or even something decorating the toe (like a buckle) but I think a plain toe will be most comfortable.

Oops, I posted the suede pair before reading your reply, Those shoes are charcoal grey, I have seen them in person, but the effect is pretty subtle.

So you do not want black. What other colors are a no-no?

I'm not completely opposed to black, but I'd like them to have a little personality. So maybe black patent or some kind of cool texture. Otherwise, I'd like a silvery grey, not super shiny metallic. I'm afraid just plain matte black will be a tad boring.

I also like the Jessica Simpsons, and as much as I love red shoes, I need to focus on something a little less colorful. And the first ones you found are in the running. I can't resist the Restricted though.

I think the first grey shoes are final sale, so I don't think I could return them if they were uncomfortable. And I prefer the wedge heel boot to the other one. But I'm thinking abuot ordering everything and returning what does not fit. Piperlime has free shipping and returns.

I LOVE all the shoes mentioned above, but I just wanted to point out that when shopping (and this is especially true at Zappos and 6pm) to check out the reviews on the arch support; for instance, this pair, from Restricted, have zero arch support the reviews say. Ouch.

Sometimes, the shoes don't reviews, and then what is a girl supposed to do but just buy them and return them if they don't fit?

I've bought the majority of my shoes from 6pm, and always lean towards the reviews like the last two shoes that Tanya posted that have excellent arch support. I've found most of the time that these reviews are pretty true, and when I have bought shoes with only moderate, or even zero arch support, boy, did my feet feel it!

If only everybody made their shoes beautiful and comfortable!

Good thinking Graciebird. I always look at the reviews. It’s how I make my online footwear decisions.

Beautiful yet comfortable shoes are an ongoing dilemma. The bane of own style and the bane of most of the styles of my clients. Everyone seems to have varying degrees of foot issues and different foot issues. I don’t need shoes with arch support, I have good arches – but then there’s the rest of the shoe (*sigh*).

Nice shoes, Tanya. I’ve seen and tried the last style by Carlos – big thumbs down. Cheap looking. But they are sweet in the pic.

Thanks for the advice Angie. Well, since I already own the Carlos shoes ( bought them in the pre YLF days), and I am droping of a bunch of stuff to consignment store this weekend, the shoes can be added to the pile. I've only worn them once anyway.

So Angie...do I measure the widest part of my calf? The BGBGirls wedge boot says it has a 15" circumference. Does that mean the widest part of the boot is 15" or is the top of the boot 15" around?

That’s right Nicole. Measure the widest part of your calf. The circumference measurement they offer is usually the widest part of the boot.
