Looking for a peplum top for long torso

Has anyone found one?

All the peplum tops I've tried on hit me too high...right under my rib cage instead of at my waist. I'm not that tall...5.5...but long waisted. Maybe taller YLFs have found something?

I know exactly the problem you mean Peri, since I am long waisted too. No solutions though. I had been wondering about getting a peplum skirt instead, though most of those I have seen are mini skirts, and I would prefer a longer skirt.

Sadly, I have no solution, but I am in the same boat and had considered posting exactly this question here myself. I am not tall but am extremely long waisted and all the peplum tops I've tried are not only too high in the waist, but too short as well.

I guess I would just review pictures very carefully and scour sites and shops that carry tall sizes. Nordstrom online has quite a few peplum tops and even has a tab for them. I am long waisted but since I am only 5' 1" and 99% of the time purchase in the Petite section, I was able to go to regular sizing for my three peplums.

Have you tried the one at the Loft?

It might not work, but I found it acceptable. Note, I am only 5'4" and I have a short waist. BUT I have a long rise, so overall, my torso is, if not long, certainly not short. And the Loft one is working for me. The peplum hits more or less at my hip, below my natural waistline.

Well, at least I'm not the only one!

I'll look at the Loft one Suz. I think I tried one on but maybe not!
