Looking for a knockoff of the Ash Virgin sneaker...

So I greatly admire forum members Ash sneakers. But they are too expensive for me given that I am hard on shoes, especially sneakers, and if I love them I burn through them in a few months.

I've found some acceptable looking substitutes for the low heeled Ash Genial (haven't tried on yet), but would really like to try something with no heel but buckled closure, no bling like the Ash Virgin: http://www.amazon.com/Ash-Wome.....id=1398478

Ideally would be white, silver or gray (even maybe pink?). I love black but have plenty of black shoes, and almost no light colored ones. Super ideally would be pure white except for maybe buckles. I'm flexible as to material.

Anyone seen anything? Amazon is coming up with buckle wedges, but not buckle flats.

Also what do people think of the Adidas Stan Smith pure white low sneaker mini trend?

Hm, yeah. I think the knock-offs have focused on the more novel wedge shape. I saw a bunch of wedge sneakers at Target a while back. For the flat ones, you might have the best luck looking at actual Converse, which are usually not too expensive (more than they used to be though!)

Converse currently has monochromatic white versions of their classics, high or low, and canvas or leather. The all-white is impressive!

(Edit: I forgot to make it clear that I haven't found buckled converse, at least recently. The overall effect is similar of course, but maybe not similar enough.)

Thanks Grayscale! Yes, I like the all optic white converse. I'm kind of trying to do something a bit different than lace up cons if I can find it because I was a skater girl back in high school and wore them all. the. time. But they are definitely a option.

I have black wedge sneakers and heeled booties so my hope was to fill the 'no heel, very comfy' hole with new sneakers too.

I've also looked at slipons but I prefer wearing (invisible) socks so hi-tops work best.

I got the white cutout converse chucks. They have the wedge and do not have a tongue so the skin shows through the lacing. I got them from Nordstrom for a little over $60.

The zipper on these adds a bit of edge, though still not like the buckles.

deb - those shoes are great looking, but I need something that will hide my graying socks.

Grayscale - zippers are cool, those might be a possibility if I can't find white white.

anna - I like the Stella McCartney ones! Bummer that I'm a size 8-8.5, or the last call ones would work too. I kind of like the Torrid ones, but have a bad track record of returning things with studs -- sometimes I'm okay with them, and other times I'm very minimalist and I don't want to wear them.

Also, if this really is a wardrobe hole and something you'd wear a lot, and the actual Ash sneakers are perfect, they're not *that* much more than converse. Well, ok, three times as much.

Greyscale - I probably should go try them on and cogitate some more. I think it's less of a hole than a 'nice to have' at least in terms of buckles versus laces. I already bought and returned some Guess white lace up sneakers though because I was bothered by three studs ;), so I think I need to find something that I totally love to pull the trigger - I can get by without until then.
