Looking for Comfortable Lace-up Granny Boots

http://www.travelandleisure.co.....mens-boots I just bought a pair of Comfortiva Cordia lace-up boots, in navy, and I really like them, however, even with my narrow feet, I'm wondering if I should have listened to the reviews and purchased a 7-1/2W instead of my normal 7-1/2M. They seem a wee bit narrow, near the toes. I've never bought a wide pair of shoes before. Does anyone have experience with this style or do you have other granny boot recommendations that have the comfort factor? I don't want a stiff, rugged boot, but a more refined granny boot I can wear with skirts and dresses.

btw, when I was doing a search for this, I thought of you, Angie, when I saw the second boot listed here in this article (see second photo and link). It's a light cream bootie with a small heel, and reminded me of you and "our" Zara boot from way back when, in the olden days.

I'd love thoughts from anyone. Thank you.

I'm not familiar with the Comfortiva boots, but I do have a wide-ish foot and a low tolerance for squished toes and I've been very happy with my Thursday Boot Co lace-ups. Three years and going strong! They may be a smidge chunkier than the ones you show, but still pretty refined. I wear them with skirts, pants, dresses, leggings, pretty much anything. I feel like a broken record because I recommend these boots so often, but I really do love them that much.

Thank you, La Pedestrienne, and this is such a coincidence, because I actually bought the Thursday Boot, in Old English and Matte Black, in the Captain Boot, and it was comfortable and I knew they would hold up well and keep going due to their quality, yet I thought they were slightly chunkier, you're correct. I may have a second look. What color did you buy and did you size up a half size? Hope you see this, because there were so many browns and earth tones to choose from and reading that you have an earth-tone obsession, I would trust you to tell me which color(s) you have and/or liked. Did you get the Captain Boot, because that looks like the one shown above. I saw you'd mentioned a Chelsea Boot and they do have one of those, as well. Thank you for your input. Appreciated!

Have you tried loosening the laces close to the toe box of the new navy boots ? I think the toe box will stretch.

YES, those cream boots are very me - but need a lower heel these days. Nothing higher than 1.5 inches.

Vicki - the Ariat heritage lacers are paddock boots but same feel. The kilty is removable although I love it. The leather is pebbled. WAter resistant. Incredibly comfortable insoles and wear like iron. Each will last an easy 10 yr with constant wear. One of my favorite boots ever. I have not one but 2 back up pr. They are that good!!

Piggybacking to ask: any taller versions recommended? I love the look of this style but hate the gap between boot and pants— I prefer a taller knee high boot but somehow they don’t seem to come in lace up versions?
