Hi everyone. I know.. it's been ages since I've been here. I do miss you all and take a peek from time to time so see what's up.

I ordered some shoes the other day and would like opinions.

Pair 1 (1-3): Actually these are 2 different shoes, but obviously quite similar. Which do you prefer and why?

Pair 2 (4-7): I saw these and thought they would be a good replacement for my old pair of cognac gladiators (seen on left foot) that I have worn to death. I just wonder if they are a bit heavy on the top of my foot. They don't really come up any higher, but I wonder if it is the solid center gore and the eyelets that are making me see them as more bulky. What do you think? Will something like this even still be relevant next summer?

Pair 3 (8-10): I thought these might be a good replacement for my current too high nude dress shoes. What is your impression of them. Do they make my foot look wide? Give me any and all impressions and adjectives that come to mind... good bad and ugly.

Oh, and I got a haircut a couple weeks ago.. nice and short Not the best pics in the world, but they show my new do.

I like the ones with the orange/coral ankle strap - because of the color - it's more fun and seems more modern. It might depend on your wardrobe if the color would go with enough of the things you plan to wear them with.

I do see a lot of the gladiator style still going strong and I don't think they make your foot look bad in any way. They seem like a good replacement.

The last ones also seem like a really good replacement to your nudes. And they do not make your foot look wide at all!

So exciting to see you back! In 1-3, I love the orange, just for the fun color. I prefer something about its straps, too. The gladiators and pumps look great to me, as does your great hair!

I prefer the orange ankle strap too. Love the other replacement shoes you picked. But your legs are GORG, so I think any shoe would look fab! Hair looks great too!

I vote for the orange strap. They look great with your nail polish. And the sling backs are a definite keep. Love the new do!

I prefer the pair with the orange strap as well. I am not normally a fan or orange anything so am surprised. I find the placement of the strap is more elongating and flattering. I also like that the pattern on the front (toe) is more pronounced. The other pair looks faded.

I like the glads and actually prefer the ones that don't tie. I think it is a cleaner look.

I am swimming against the tide but am not yet accustomed to the pointy toe shoes with the thin heel so they aren't as appealing to me as the others you've shown. I haven't been keeping up with fashion the last while though so may be out of touch. You do have great legs and your feet look nice in the lower vamp.

I love the new do. Very flattering. Its really nice to see you back Kim.

I like the orange strap sandal too.
Looking at both glads. I have a slight preference for the old but probably only because they are together here. The new seem less structured, but this might go well with casual Summer outfits.
Your feet look dainty in the new pumps, not wide at all!
I can't remember your 'old hair', but this looks fresh and lovely.

I love the Same Edelman orange sandals. Brilliant (in more ways than one).

Are they comfy for you? Those ones hurt my feet, alas...

I like the new gladiators and think they look like a good replacement for the old ones.

Love the new kitten heels! Although I would prefer without the little bow.

pics 1-3: I like the orange sandal better because of where the ankle strap hits.
pics 4-7: I like the new gladiators. They seem more modern than your old pair and the metal grommet details are nice. The color looks great for your skin tone and these will add some edge to the standard summer combo of tanks and shorts.
pics 8-10: I'm not a fan unfortunately. The snake print and the front strappy detail seem too much to me, sorry.

Thanks for your input. I knew I could count on you ladies.
My initial impressions were:
Animal print sandals. I liked both pair, but at first thought the higher placement of the orange ankle strap might have been a bit heavy. But looking at them in pics and IRL, I'm seeing what you all see... more modern. Both are comfy, the other pair having a slight edge in the comfort factor, but the orange strap ones aren't UNcomfortable. Suz... I can see how depending on you foot, this pair could be uncomfortable though. I do need to wear them around the house for an hour before declaring them safe. The only other thing that makes me stop and think is that the other pair is more casual, the Sam Edelman's a bit more dressy. I just need to decide how I want these to function.
The Gladiators like I already said seemed a bit bulky when I first put them on.

The pumps... some of you were seeing what I was seeing I think. Something about the pointy toe, skinny heel and extra detail on the toe area made me think *ahem* "mature" at first. Need to think on those a bit more.
See, this is what I have been missing... several sets of eyes to help me think through purchases.

I like gladiators in #4 even better that your old ones. Keep!
I cannot say I am a fan of either of the first two though. I don't like the position of the toe strap on them: it looks like your foot is too wide for them and they just slid off IYKWIM. I tried the Clarks ones myself and rejected them for this very reason. Fot the position of the ankle strap I prefer the orange.

For the sandals, I'm not sure about either pair I'm afraid. How is the fit and comfort? Something seems "off" around your toes. If they are comfortable, then I do prefer the orange ankle strap pair.

I don't know a darned thing about Gladiator style sandals so will leave that to the experts.

Great to see you again! Fab new hair, it has some great shape to it! Ok now to the questions. I prefer the animal/orange strap print sandal. It is fun and the straps look just a tad thinner to me. I like the new gladiators with the hardware, but I am a hardware gal anyway so I am biased. The pointy toe pumps look right on trend with the pointy toe shoes I am seeing at the spring FW shows.

Whoa! Howdy there, Kim! So nice to see you I love the orange strapped sandals and I prefer the gladiators on the left foot (no laces.) I'm not crazy about the laced version for some reason--it looks like it's squishing your foot. I'm unsure about the heels--I never wear them so I'm not really sure what is current. LOVE your sassy new hair! You look terrific!

Photo 1-3 - like the orange strap. Love the colour, the white heel and the combination is far more interesting than the other pair.
Photo 4-7 - I don't think the new gladiators look too clunky & I like the slightly higher wedge.
Photo 8-10 - fairly innocuous - no real opinion on these

Kim! It's great to see you.

1. I like the pair with the orange ankle strap better. The style is a bit more modern, the orange is punchy and fun, and the strap hits you at just the right point on your ankle.
2. The new gladiators are winners and I actually like them even better than your old pair. They may look heavy to you since you're looking straight down on them, but the overall effect seems lighter than your old pair.
3. I like these, too. They don't make your foot wide in the least. It's a pretty classic look but the pointy toes are trending.

And last, your hair is fabulous! It's soft and sassy and looks like you could run your fingers through it and it'd still look great.

Hi Kim, nice to meetcha! You don't know me but I like your saucy vibe.

Sandals - I like the one on the right (bolder orange strap, higher heel one). Just looks more in charge.

Gladiators - I like the one with the gold eyelets best. Not sure if that's new or not but it's bold and that's good.

Nude dress shoes - they're fine, but I'm not a big fan of the super low vamp. If they're comfy though and you like them, keep.

Thanks so much everyone for your sweet encouraging words and input.
Here's my decisions:
Animal print sandals.. I am keeping the orange strap ones. In fact I wore them today and loved them. They are even more comfortable than I expected and gave me no problems today. YAY!

I think I'll probably keep the new gladiators, just need to wear them around the house for about an hour to confirm comfort.

The pointy toe pumps are going back. I did an "around the house" test last night and they didn't pass the comfort test. They started to pinch my outer toes after a bit. Can't have that!

Thanks so much for letting me barge back in with questions. I knew you'd all be wise and kind!

I'll post a WIW to show my shoes in action today.

Hey! Great to have you back. I agree about returning the pointy-toed pumps. Yes, they look fab, but you shouldn't keep them if they're uncomfortable in any way.
