Hi, my name is RoseandJoan and this is my reintroduction to YLF,
I was very active on the forum for a couple of years but then life grew incredibly busy and my participation waned. Given the this place moves so fast, the wonderful new members and my ever evolving style I feel I owe you all a bit of background.

My lifestyle is active, I'm most often found herding two girls and a terrier over the hills of the Scottish Borders, I love rock music, drink the occasional single malt, work in finance and cannot function without coffee.

My style has been defined as romantic rock and roll, I love softness, texture, simple machine washable goodness. I am a rectangle seconadry hourglass, tall with summer colouring. The biggest change to my style has come about as result of adding more tattoos to my collection, I adore vintage florals but as I have now become the vintage floral I have found I no longer require the additional whimsy in my closet

I think that is enough about me for today but I will leave you with a snapshot of my closet, my last three purchases and some of my latest ink.

Welcome back! I've always loved your style and comments. I haven't had as much YLF time as desired either (recently at least). So I"m glad I caught your thread. Something about your body art makes me think of early 20th century (German?) expressionism/abstract expressionism.

Woohooooo. It's BRILLIANT to see you back, Jules. I've missed you madly. To think I was in the UK last month and didn't see you. Horrible. So near yet so far. I blew kisses to Scotland from London. Hope you got them. Lovely pic of your family.

I remember that you gave yourself the moniker, "Urban Pretty". Does that still apply? Your simpler colour palette complements your new body art really well. Fun style evolution. Are your new tattoos on the tops of your arms and shoulders? I think you still have a spider on your elbow and the designs up the fronts of your legs that celebrate your girls, Teah and Emmy. Special.

I wonder whether your hair is still long and dark blonde. The last time you grew it out and had it beautifully layered - you made the forum remind you that you prefer to have long locks and that we need to stop you if you want to cut them off again!

Anyway, I'm thrilled to see your post, and know it's been a hard year with your Mum passing away. Much love to you.

p.s. perhaps you passed your style moniker onto me? My style is feeling a lot more Urban Pretty than Urban Prince these days.

Oh Angie I was gutted I missed your UK visit, your cross Europe trip looked like such an adventure. I emailed Inge the day before the meet up so you were very much in my thoughts.

Yes, Urban Pretty still applies to my style, although I'm more Elizabeth Bennett with rosie cheeks and mud on my hem now.

Hair is short, a chin length bob with a shaved undercut (I'm growing it again *sigh*) I don't think I ever will learn to lay down the scissors.
