Re. office closure, it's a known thing and for some of us can't happen soon enough now that we know the end is near. There is a massive difference in working on projects that produce something clients will use and those that are all about turning off the lights.
The knowledge we're all here for a short while makes us appreciate every moment we have left together. Yes, I did have a great team.
But, that's not the issue here, I am thoroughly flattered they complimented my looks this way. All the time I am swimming against the tide and refuse to come to work in jeans and tees, YLF had just elevated my office attire to a whole new level - joyous. I did get a lot of compliments over time, I've learnt to accept them and now I am really happy that this little surprise, although done in an party-season-office-fun way, had sealed one fab YLF year.
