Long Cardi Contender?

I have been looking for a long, camel button up cardigan. This one from Able is a contender, even tnough it's more of a mushroom color than the camel I was hoping for. The fabric is soft and cozy, and the cut is right. It seems versatile- works over dresses and pants, buttoned and unbuttoned, can be worn as a dress or topper and possibly forward or backward. I have been considering an obi belt, and I think it would work well with this sweater- better than the thin belts I have now .
Thoughts and opinions? (sorry for the dark photos and fingerprints on my mirror!)

Looks nice - love the belted outfit #1 and the look with graphic tee and jeans in #3 ( perfect tee! ).
Belt in #1 works well ( obi should be great too ) and the #5-6 is fun possibility ( necklace/brooch in the front?.. ). Nice find!

Nice! Great cut and fit. Love it especially over the jeans and tee! It looks fab as a dress as well. I’m not sure about it backwards. I’d be nervous about something unbuttoning…but that’s me. I am also not sure I’d like sitting on buttons. It’s a flattering cool tone neutral—it could be even more versatile than a camel color.

Great cardi and it’s in my favorite color! I like it more than camel, actually.
I think it looks wonderful on you as a cardi. As a dress it’s OK, too. I would be bothered with buttons gaping on the lower half but it’s my pet peeve.

I love it. This is actually really similar to my long cardigan in all but color. I don't wear it as a dress very often, but it's really nice to have the option!

Pretty and versatile. I like it as a dress worn with the buttons in front. Not too sure about wearing it with the buttons in back because if it was me, a button would accidentally unbutton itself and…

Such creativity you have! This cardi seems like great material to work with—it’s got personality, but not so much that it limits what you can do with it. I really like it with the jeans and floral top.
We can be obi twins! I think I’m going to make one out of some of my dad’s ties.

I like it backwards and with the jeans… but confess I don’t think it hangs perfectly. I see some gaping at the buttons. Albeit I have a dress like this and keep it. It’s not a fit thing with the dress - it’s cut.

#4 to #6 need the sit-down-test to work. Make sure there’s no gaping

When you wear it backwards, as a dress, you could toss a not-so-long cardi on to deal with any gaping in the back. But it’s probably not cool enough for that most days, is it?

After just the few try ons, it is starting to fuzz up and pill. Back it goes and I will keep looking for something better!

I love all your looks, but especially the dress looks! I second Angie's sit-down test, and I raise her a Fashion Tape if there's light gapping.

Also, if you come across any vintage or retro full-length lace-trim slips, that could be an amazing layer to wear underneath for dressier looks.

My fingers are crossed that a camel cardi comes your way in 2022! But this is 100% a keeper, imo.

I was going to warn you about the obi belt. Anything placed over a sweater that rubs can cause pilling, and with long sweaters (which are a staple in my wardrobe), you need to watch for pilling on surfaces that contact chairs, etc. “Pill butt” is not a pretty look…..

I love long cardigans, especially worn loose and open. I have a long mushroom one that sees lots of use especially in transition seasons. It seems to go with everything, especially if you have shoes about the same color. What is the fiber?

Long cardis are wonderful and can be styled in a wide variety of ways, from super casual to dressy. I like your stylings and hope that you will succeed in finding a colour and material that you really like. And don't buy it too small!

The cardigan was cute on you (if it helps, I also use double magnets to hold that sort of thing together if I'm worried about buttons etc) but I'm glad to hear you're sticking to your guns for your quality criteria. Hope you find the camel cardi of your dreams
