J. Jill, that is!

I wore my new Loft jacket to run some errands yesterday. I love this jacket! It is a knit, quite comfy, but appears like a woven tweed, even up close. If you order, size down! I paired it with my orphaned chambray shirt (problematic for me), a marcasite flower brooch, ON scarf and skinnies, and my old Rocket Dog moto boots.

I don't shop J. Jill, but the windows pulled me in, and I found several basics that were in rich colors and lovely fabrications. They fit and flatter me better than Eileen Fisher basics, so I'll be watching online for sales. I generally sized down on everything. Not a problem for me!

ABC -- my jacket is a large. I'm generally a healthy 14 at the moment, for reference. Almost all of the J. Jill items fit me in large also. In Halogen, for reference, I'm almost always an XL -- extra luscious.

Aida: Loved all the items --- but didn't leave the store with any (at least not yet). I'm watching my fashion pennies and will wait for a sale. That blue dress wasn't in the store even, but don't you love the color and the length?

Celia: Interesting that you say that -- I'm definitely skewing more casual these days, since I've moved and am not working at the University. I feel like I'm in a bit of a fashion no-man's land at the moment, but that's why I keep hanging out on the forum!

That Loft jacket looks like a great marriage of dressy and casual. Be careful about the JJill rayon mix knit. It stretches to become huge, even after washing. My XS petite tee became an XXL woman's size, growing in width and length. The cashmere/wool knit is probably better.

Beth Ann, you are looking fabulous, as always. I really like the chambray shirt and jacket outift--looks great with the jeans and moto boots. And the scarf and brooch are just right. The J.Jill pieces look great on you, too. I got their catalog recently (not sure why?? I haven't bought anything there in ages) and am really drawn to a lot of their looks again. Don't know if the store has cycled back around to me or vice versa. But I agree, they offer a touch of Eileen Fisher style at a fraction of the price, and I always thought their quality was good. I was very taken with the blue cowl neck dress in the catalog. I want to know what the ottoman fabric looks and feels like; if I"m near a store, I will have to pop in and see.

Sharan: That chambray shirt has been so tough for me to style well. I put it on in the morning, only to change before I leave the house! It just feels a little "hausfrau" on me, although I love the look on others. Adding the jacket and brooch made it more "me."

I'll let you know when I purchase any J. Jill items. It's good to keep an open mind, and the store is right in Keystone. I could see the multicolored (kind of ombre, really) cardi on you. It would go well with a lot of your items. And the sweater dress is great for those of us who don't wear bodycon knits!

You look great in your Loft jacket, Beth Ann! Fab idea to style your chambray shirt with a brooch, and such a pretty brooch, too! I know what you mean about liking a chambray shirt on others but feeling a bit less than lovely while wearing it yourself. I've almost worn mine a couple times and ended up switching it out for something else before leaving the house.

You may need to spend some of your fashion dollars at J Jill; the burgundy items are wonderful on you! I also love that blue dress and may try it to see if it's long enough for me. Glad you included it.

Same feelings I get about chambray shirts. I usually end up wearing mine as a topper at home over a tshirt or tank. Despite the lovely stylings I've seen with pencil skirts, tulle skirts, skinny pants and pumps, something about the chambray still says "truck driver" or "cleaning day" to me. But the brooch and tweed jacket kick it up just right and I will give my shirt another attempt for casual day outfit. Office wear? Still a stretch, I think.

Windchime: Glad I'm not the only one who has trouble styling chambray shirts! I also loved the burgundy! The shade of burgundy is particularly lovely
