Hi fabbers:

I've had this top for a little while..I was hoping to snap up an Angie recommended top but it was sold out in my size and I bought this instead.

I was hoping for something versatile and in a print that is subtle. This is a large, the medium fit better through the body but was a little snug in the shoulders (grrrr, thanks body for giving me the shoulders of a linebacker).

I know it's a little wrinkly and there is a little grinning going on but what do you think...is it too big, does it look like a maternity top?

In the meantime, the other top is back in stock in my size (see below) and coming to me soon..

Well, I think it looks a good fit across your shoulders and torso. There is a nice amount of drape, when tucked and it doesn't look too big or overwhelming to me. Sleeves are a goo length or you too.

Thanks, Diane. I think I like it better tucked a little, but would like to be able to wear it untucked too!

Wow it looks great tucked. Sharp and elegant.
I think it works untucked because of straight shirt style-- it's not poufy or empire, for example. You may have more drape than absolutely needed due to being IT and sizing for shoulders. I have just the opposite problem!
You could try Petite if wanted to have shorter proportions of top to bottoms.
Or wear longer pant length rather than ankle pant. Those would be proportion tweaks and I doubt anybody would be that critical IRL!

Thanks for you input, UF! I do like this best tucked, but I rarely full tuck anything and if I leave the back out its really long... Would probably wear the top with tall boots and skinnies...I've never been able to wear petite..the medium really looked better and was probably fine but ended up sizing up...hmmm

I think the size looks good and I like the drape. What I don't care for is the placement of the dots and the wide space between the dots ( and I'm a polka dot lover).

On the other hand, I LOVE the plaid top you are waiting for. I think that will look spectacular on you.

I hadn't even thought about the placement or size of the dots but I see what you mean...I have found that the smaller polka dots look too "sweet" on me...I sort of need a a bigger print or graphic for my height etc if that makes sense so perhaps this is a return...Xing fingers for the other top..seems like it will fit perfectly into my wardrobe!

What Karie said. That was the first thing I noticed - dot placement. I'm sure we won't be the only ones to notice.

I am with JAileen et al on this one; the dot placement made me LOL a little.

The sparse dots give this an odd mickey-mouse look that I'm not fond of. Twice as many dots, and it probably wouldn't bother me.

You look fantastic in a tucked top! Seriously, I was just really struck by how nice that looks on you. But, yeah, once you see those 2 dots on the chest it's impossible to un-see them....and impossible to not notice that they aren't lined up

I really like it tucked. For some reason, the dots seem very fun to me. Great pants too! (You're going to make me head to Costco even though the place overwhelms me).

Oh gosh. I really like it - it fits quite well and your shoulders look defined and balanced, not like a linebacker at all.

But now that people have mentioned the dots, I do see what they mean.

I appreciate your chiming in...I would really like to be able to wear this untucked as well as tucked and since I don't really want a top that makes people laugh and wonder I think I'll return and hope the other top coming will be a keeper and give me the pattern I'm lacking in my wardrobe!

I just noticed the awkward dots, too. Maybe you can exchange it for one where the dots are placed differently because the tucked version really looked good on you.

I like the top but not the placement of the dots, like others mentioned before.
The plaid one will be great, I think.

I haven't even read beyond Karie's response because the dot placement was the first thing I saw. Too bad because the fit looks good.
