Thanks to Angie’s for featuring this LOFT seersucker blazer. I only just got it and went through tryons.

I have been very ambivalent about blazers, which I used to think I couldn’t get enough of or live without. It’s partly some problem I’m having with the silhouette, plus casual lifestyle, and wearing more utility jackets and sport/Athleisure or whatever outfits . Then too, blazers aren’t really winter wear for me, and lovely fall seems so short.

I do always need a jacket in air- conditioned places. I have some linen short jackets , sort of Jean jacket style, that I reach for a lot to dash to grocery, etc, and some occasions, but they get a wrinkly and a little sloppy.

Anyway I decided to try this on because of “ black” color, and cotton. I anticipated and hoped it was not stark black & white, because seersucker, and it is not— it’s more dark gray & not-quite white, which is great for my color palette, so if that’s you also, you might like it.

With tryons I wanted to see if it is versatile so would not be just 1 or 2 outfits, because I wanted it to dress up or down. Not dress up as in wedding /festive, but utilizing its tailored style with more polished support act, and it IS versatile. It goes with off- black chinos & off- black top, teals, gray- blues, denim, but also , because it reads gray, goes with solid black & navy, making it an option with nicer pants, and with optic white tops.

It is shockingly well- made for brand & price, & with functional sleeve buttons.

One thing is that because it’s lined, it’s not breezy. But works for me for arctic a/c. I missed having it for spring , but hoping I’ll be ready next year.

As a side note, I had earlier bought an unlined cotton blend blazer, more casual, in stone color in the Liverpool LA brand. I can’t add Find—Nordstrom has it in other colors though. It’s a bit warmer cream than I usually wear but I got it to go tan & olive pants which I still wear because I love those colors in summer. This jacket’s fabric has a smooth, cool “ hand” that feels good in warm weather. I wish it came in “ cooler” colors.

So, apparently I’m back on the blazer wagon! We’ll see how it goes.
