Have you all heard of the deal with ATL and Goodwill? I just received an email from ATL about it.

From March 2-8 if you take in a pair of gently used ATL pants to donate you get $15 off a new pair.

This is great for me to buy a size up since my 0's don't fit right now.

Just thought I'd pass this along.

That's great! Unfortunately I've given up on ATL pants. I wish this would apply to skirts (I do like their skirts).

Hmm, the email I got didn't specify that it had to be ATL pants, just gently-used pants.

I am going through pants so fast right now I know I'll be checking this out! I'm in size 14s for ATFactory pants already. Yay!

Shiny -- can I ask why you've given up on ATL pants? I am constantly looking for (and returning) pants for work, and any insight would help. I am lately finding the sizing on AT and ATL pants somewhat inconsistent, but I can't quite figure out what's wrong.

BTW, this Goodwill partnership seems like a good cause to support! I found a press release on it, and it does seem to be any pair of gently-used pants, not just ATL brand.

I just assumed they meant ATL pants. Even better if it's any pants. The email did say excluding denim. I'm not sure if that means you can't donate denim or you can't use the discount on new denim. I guess I'll find out by asking them.

I also have some store credit there so I will definately go shopping and donate pants.

That is awesome! Do you know how you get this discount? Do you have to bring proof of donation/a receipt from Goodwill or something?

April, I gave up on their pants for a couple of reasons. Inconsistent sizing is a big one.

Also last year I wanted to duplicate a pair of pants I liked, so I ordered online, and what I rec'd was like a shoddier, ill-fitting version. Which made me wonder if what is sold online is now different than what you get in the store?

I have also begun to wonder if ATL, to keep costs down, has been using new suppliers and quality and consistency is suffering. They've never been the best quality - it's not AT you are getting. But it seems to get worse and worse. You are getting H&M or Forever21 quality but *not* at H&M prices.

But the final clincher for me was when I bought these 0p slacks and took a photo:

They really don't fit me well at all.

I still like their skirts and probably 80% of my skirts are from them! I also love their jewelry.

Kari, I believe you take your donation to the ATL store, and they then give it to Goodwill.

kh -- thank you for returning us to the important substance of this thread, after I got distracted by Shiny having a problem that I too have noticed with ATL pants lately.

And Shiny -- that sounds very frustrating. You put it well -- I think I was hoping for AT pants at ATL prices, and of course that's not how it works. (FYI, I know you said those pants in the photo don't fit you well, but you look great!)
