As promised, here is a post about living rooms! Our home is very, VERY old and quite modest. It has been in DH's family for generations, and was originally built without indoor plumbing, one very small and formal sitting room (which was never used!), and with a cistern and a wood burning stove. Our decorative old stove is actually placed where the original sat, and there is a patch in the plaster where the chimney pipe went. My suggestion when we first moved here was to tear everything down and start new, but DH would have none of that, so the small rooms are typical of old farm houses.

We have remodeled the kitchen, as that was a disaster, but in most other rooms we are still working with what we have. Our next project will be to put a bathroom in upstairs and then windows and siding, so any remodel on the living space will have to wait a long while.

I absolutely love to see inside other homes. Although I am clearly not a minimalist, I do adore that style of decorating, and everything in between. So please post photos of your living spaces or even things that inspire you!
