Suz posted about a knit suit by the brand Liverpool, https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....ol-suit-kr and I was intrigued. A blazer style jacket had been on my shopping list since the demise of my (thrifted) black one. The idea of a stretch blazer made so much sense! The fab plaid, and Suz’s encouragement that the suit would work for my style, clinched the deal.


Unfortunately, I didn’t see Angie’s warning (in a blog post) to size down, and I read Suz’s warning after I had placed my order. For the record, I’m 5ft 7 in, 130 lbs, and 36-30-38. I ordered the pants in a size 8 (my usual size) and the jacket in size L(10-12). All my pants are size 8 and tops 10 or 12 (broad shoulders and long arms.)

When the suit arrived, I felt the jacket was a good fit, though large through the body. This showed up mostly in volume at the back, which projected out a little. The pants size 8/29 were just too big! I ordered pants in size 6 and 4, and on a whim, the jacket one size down, or M(6-8).


The smaller jacket and the size 6 pants arrived today. No contest! The smaller jacket fits much better. I wore it with a t-shirt under the jacket and Dickey, and with a sweater under the jacket without the dickey. The pants are looser than I like. (I feel like I have to puff out my belly to keep them up!). The size 4 were shipped separately, and haven’t arrived yet.

I’ve got some trips in my future and foresee this suit being ideal for travel. The plaid is beautiful, and the suit fits seamlessly into my closet. In fact, it seems like the piece I didn’t know I needed!
