Thanks for the feedback!
The shape seems to strike you all the way it did me -- I'm hankerin' for a fluid fit, but I like a little structure somewhere. Here it's in a tailored but easy fit in the arms. I also like feminine without approaching cute and the geometric take on eyelet seems to fit that bill. It's a split decision for color! I could keep both, if I would wear both.
Aubergine: You're right that light colors that work for my high-contrast self are harder to find!
Sveta: Thanks for the thumbs up with black! I've always liked wearing it, although I look for a bit more softening these days. The open neckline and texture help this sweater, I think.
Unfrumped: I have some great patterned shells -- nice fluid fits, mostly in patterns. Fine gauge sweaters are tougher for me!
ND, Una, ABC, thanks for the encouragement. This time of year it's hard to feel "fresh."
Adelfa: Appreciate your perspective on life with white and cream. It's beige and khaki that slay me --- Cream is softer and brighter. White is always good, as long as it has just a touch of warmth to it -- no grey/white, please!
