I’ve been thinking for a while about little luxuries that I enjoy and a big impact they make on quality of my life. This is highly personal, of course By a coincidence, a Canadian YouTuber I follow, Christina Mychas just posted a video about hers. We have some similar ideas. Her video prompted me to finally write a post.

1. Sleep - sleepwear and bedding.
Sleepwear. I used a bit of haphazard approach to my sleepwear before - an oversized t-shirt dress here, a camisole nightgown there. All cotton, of course. But no color palette or a plan. I’m changing it now. For spring, I bought 2 sets of cotton poplin pajamas. For the summer, I got a cotton set - a shirt and shorts. I still use old staff but slowly replacing it. Nothing fancy but I like the men style sets, feels fresh after all those nightgowns! I also splurged and bough a washable silk camisole nighty. Haven’t tried it yet. Would like a silk pj set but it’s expensive. Maybe, a birthday gift for my significant birthday this year. All of it in a same color…pink! Ok, a weird thing - in the winter I sleep in Uniqlo heatech leggings and t-shirt. Well, I’m always cold Doubt Uniqlo will have it in pink, though!
Bedding - switched to 100% linen a few years ago with silk pillow cases. Thinking about maybe changing linen to something else but don’t know what yet. I’m getting bored with linen.

2. I like to experiment with a scent and hardly can commit to one. I buy travel size to experiment. My favorites right now are Blanche and La Tulipe by Byredo. I use it infrequently but enjoy nice floral scents.

3. After years of home manicures and pedicures, I went to a salon this summer. One of the reasons is to try shellac for my finger nails. They are so brittle and get broken easily despite my best efforts. It seems working, shellac protects it a bit. I’m planning to continue with manicure but will do my own pedicures in the colder months.

4. I’m minimal user of makeup. But I like occasionally spend a little extra on a lip or cheek product.

5. I wear prescription glasses. I can still use my phone and IPAD without glasses but need glasses for distance. I l wear transitional, clear and sunglasses. I hunt sales and discounts to find designer frames that suit my small face. They add just a little extra joy

6. This one I haven’t done yet - high end body wash or a soap with nice sent.

7. Great candles for my bathroom. I don’t use it often but it is so nice and calming.

What little luxuries do you use? What would you like to try?
Let’s share the ideas!
