Ah, so dilemma solved This looks better to my eye as well. I think it is about the slimmer jean fit through the hip. Thank you for helping me figure this out!

I think I prefer longer jackets with slouchier jeans or pants (on myself) because proportions just look better to me this way. I think we have pretty similar figures with you. Of course you are much slimmer than I but the long torso and big difference between waist and hips is certaily there.

I like the juxtaposition of the cropped jacket with the baggy jeans. That's how I'd envision wearing it. I'm zagging again.

I love all these items...I recently picked up a cream longer blazer at H&M ($39!) that I think I will wear a lot...sometimes their stuff is a hit, sometimes a miss...this season seems to have more hits!
