lipstick? (aka some giant pictures of my face)

Angie's lipstick vs. lip gloss post got me thinking about the stash of lip stuff that I never use. All of them (except the first and last) are Lancome freebies that my mom gave to me. I would love to know which are no good, which are worth keeping, and what they would be appropriate for (daily wear, going out, etc). All are lipstick except the last two are gloss.

Also, open these at your own risk - the thumbnails might be just as helpful as a life-sized picture of my face! I'm not wearing any make-up so that you can see the lip colors with my skin.

Are there any that you really don't like (Auburn didn't like 5), or are the others just not as fab?

I like 6 the best and 7 looks like the gloss version of the same. 7 would be great for evening. The rest seem fine for everyday use to me.

I def like 7 and 8 the best, but I'm a self-professed gloss girl.
The colors in 1-4, if different lipsticks in reality, all read the same on your face and, IMHO, don't do a whole lot for you (but if you like a very natural lipstick look, are probably fine). To my eye, the color in 5 isn't great--a bit too brown for your coloring. Not bad, just not as good as 6--8. I think 7 and 8 are great every day options and 6 would work when you want a punch of color on those lips!

One more thought, if you want to highlight the color of ANY of these choices, definitely consider a lip liner--maybe one in nude or a warm brown/spice color. Will definitely turn up the volume, so to speak, on #s 1-4.

Fabulous eyebrows Kate, I also prefer the contrast of the last two shades, dark but not too dark. It really does help being able to see the thumbnails side by side.

I like a pale lip, so I like 1 very much. I also think 7 is just fab!

I like 1 a lot for a pale nude lip look, and 6 & 7 for more color but especially 6.

Kate you look great. I like 6 the best, followed by 7. The rest are fine - but relatively light/mild so it barely looks like you have any on.

7 looks very pretty, not to dark, not to light. Can you share the name of it? Does it feel creamy, and not dry out the lips?

Marley, thanks! the teeth are the result of a very committed and long term relationship with my dentist, and the same with my orthodontist (though luckily I don't have to see her anymore, just wear a retainer at night for the rest of my life).
