Linty velvet

I have steered clear of velvet because of past experience with it attracting lint. Is that still the case with the newer fabrics?

Not sure but I would guess it is because of the nap and because and added fiber is probably polyester, a notorious lint magnet.

I have a hypoallergenic doggie - he doesn't shed - which helps A LOT

Also, I chose mustard velvet which is much more camouflaging of lint than black and navy.

Yeah, mid-value-range colors work much better for me because cat fuzz is inevitably floating in the air, no matter how much I lint-roll my clothes.

I also use anti-static spray on the worst offenders (navy oxford cloth, black felt...). It smells awful but helps a lot.

I think it is an issue with velvet. I just use a wide strip of adhesive tape to take it off. I know you can get lint rollers too but the tape is quick and easy and disposable.
