I'm on team white everything!

Team White. Easy to launder, looks fresh and chic. Although, sometimes I am attracted by sheets in pretty colors and print. But then I let go.

Team solid colors, but never, ever white. Cream and ivory, yes.

White for towels. I made that switch over the last few years, gradually replacing our towels with fresh new white ones from Restoration Hardware.

For our bed, we have two sets and alternate between white and tan sheets. Both go with the decor. The guest room alternates between eggplant and tan -- again, both go with the decor, and I just can't get rid of the eggplant ones. They are bamboo and SO SOFT.

I have fun color and prints -- some are, um, vintage -- for our inflatable beds that we use when we have lots of houseguests, especially since those tend to get used by kids. And some solid colors (sage green, blue) for the two futons in our house that also get used when we have lots of guests. The colors help identify what fits on what.

Love 100% cotton white sheets. Especially starched and ironed. That's the ultimate. The sheets for my king sized bed have a subtle stripe woven into the fabric so like Catseye mentions you can easily tell which way they fit. Kids rooms and guest room have either white or cream.

I bought DD both white towels and dark towels for college, knowing she would have clean towels even if she could only squeeze in a single load of whites or darks. But it was psychologically difficult to buy the dark towels

I love whites. Sometimes I will get a blue feature sheet.

Team Coloured. Our bed has 2 different colours (one olive green set and one muted purple set). Our duvet cover and some of our pillow cases are black. One guest bedroom has one terracotta set and one olive green set. The duvet cover is terracotta. The other guest bedroom has a terracotta set and a cream set. The duvet cover is a terracotta print. And the third guest bedroom has a printed terracotta set. The cover is printed as well. No we do not have a lot of guests. Just a lot of beds.
