What a great dress for you! I like all the versions except for the vest. It’s great as a layering piece! I’ve never been able to get a shirtdress to work that way for me, but it’s hard to find a shirtdress that works for me in the first place!
These are great! I am really wowed by the modern, half-open layered looks -- especially 4 and 5. I will be the spanner and say that I DO like the vest -- not so much open in #2, but I quite like it closed in #3. It's a bit cottagecore I think? (In a good way.) I like the addition of the more masculine element to the very classic, ladylike dress.
Great dress and such creative stylings. Very clever to layer it over pants but I personally prefer it closed and over the white cropped pants. Worn open over the darker, more complete outfit it is reading a bit like a lab coat to me. I think even a little ankle showing would make a difference though - just to match the seasonality and make it more intentional, perhaps.
