Linen jacket after Labor Day?

Do you stop wearing a linen jacket after Labor Day, even if the weather permits wearing it? Is it a No-No to wear it to the office on warm Fall days? This would be for the Northeast USA.
I have two jackets like the one I am linking, one is beige and the other is a pretty magenta. I am thinking that maybe the magenta will work after Labor Day.
What do you ladies say ?

I'd wear it if the weather is warm enough. I don't go by calendar date but by climate. And I am the the fussiest fusspot I know about "seasonal confusion." So if I think it is okay, it must be!!

The magenta would coordinate well with some fall colours for sure.

I let weather dictate what fabrics and colors I wear. We have warm weather all through the month of September.

I am in So Cal and September is our hottest month, so you'd better believe I will be wearing all my summer gear, including my linen jackets, after Labor Day. I generally let the weather determine my wardrobe.

I think weather guide works, as does "warming up" the palette with more fall colors and textures in the other outfit items--rich leathers, browns and cognac with the magenta, accessories, footwear. I have the same issues, in a relatively milder climate and warm fall days and wanting to get more multi-season use, so I like posts and photos that show the summer-to-fall and winter-to-spring mix and match.

I lived in Houston and would wear linen right up to Thanksgiving because it was hot! However, I wasn't wearing white. I wore linen in darker colors.

Also, that's why I find linen-blend jackets in medium colors so useful--can lighten or darken the look easily, and doesn't show the wrinkling as much--another plus for blended fabrics that give the linen texture but are more wrinkle-resistant--even mixed with cotton-go figure.

-Suz, it's good to know that I will not look seasonally confused wearing my magenta linen jacket in the Fall. Actually, I have not worn it yet, I have been favoring the beige one which is easier to match in the summer.
-Unfrumped, thanks for the suggestions on how to wear the linen jacket, matching it with Fall stuff should do it.
-JAileen and Mary, I think the linen issue also depends on where you live. If it is in a friendlier climate such as CA then you can wear happier looking garments. Actually fashion in general looks happier in areas with milder climate whereas in the Northeast it can get quite sober, with a lot of black and gray as the Winter approaches and sets in.
I was under the impression that in four season weather areas linen was not to be worn after Labor Day but I will give it a try on early Fall as long as the weather is warm, like SaraL said.
