Levi's curve ID

Has anyone tried the new levis? I have a lot of trouble finding jeans that fit right, and it seems that they try to accommodate different body types...just curious

No, I haven't tried the new levis yet, but I have had some very good luck with GAP's 1969 version and love the length and feel of these jeans. They have a bit of stretch, good color that doesn't fade and the right length for my shorter stature.

I tried Curve ID. I took the on line quiz and it directed me towards the slight curve. But I found that the demi curve fit me better. However, I did not like the fabric as much as that found in premium denim (7FAM or True Religion or Paige). So I ended up only wearing them once or twice. Curve ID is good marketing but I still prefer the product quality of premium denim, however you will pay 2-2.5x more.

I don't have any experience with GAPs 1969 brand, I tried some on and purchased but ended up returning because the item was duplicating something I already had.

Thanks, Vicki...do you mean the regular jeans or the skinnies? Are they "curvy"? I have a pair of the 1969 jeggings that I loved, but after 6 months of (admittedly frequent) wear, they're already stretched out...especially in the waist. I think I may have lost a few pounds too, because a lot of pants/skirts aren't fitting anymore...

Hey CocoLion...uneducated question: what is premium denim? The frustration that I have with most jeans is that they gap in the back, and I am constantly pulling them up, especially after they stretch out a bit which seems to happen fairly quickly :/

I did not exactly try these. But I did get a pair of the Levi's for Brooks Brothers in Slight Curve. Straight leg jeans. I like them a lot. I am small but carry weight thru the hips and thighs. They are flattering for a straight jean.

bran888, I just looked at the GAP label and it says 27/4a Real Straight. Like CocoLion, I have a pair of premium denim jeans, named J. Brand, and adore them. I have them in Pure, White and Black, and they are pricey, but I love them. I bought the 811s and they are skinny jeans. That's why I was pleasantly shocked that the GAP 1969 line fit so well and felt comfortable. They were lighter and thinner and similar to my J. Brand.

The Brooks Bros Levi's do not stretch too much. I bought them snug and they stretch a little after wearing but don't get baggy.

I found it worth trying them all on, rather than looking at the description and going for the one that you 'think' you are. I really like them, and don't have a problem with the quality of the denim (they are £70 here in UK- if that's not premium denim, I don't think my budget can take real premium denim...)

Mind you I had to go to the Levis because Gap jeans in the UK seem to be a completely different shape to the ones I've bought before in the US - I had to go up a size, and they were still indecently low rise.

I tried these and frankly they did not work for me in any cut. I felt like they were all too low rise for me.

bran888, have you tried altering your jeans who gap? It's not a very expensive alteration and the results may surprise you!

@ alaskagirl -- I feel like I would prefer a higher rise than most brands seem to make (without them being the dreaded "mom jeans")...I thought that the levis were supposed to be higher in the back, which appealed to me because my jeans always end up lower than I would like in the back when I sit down.

@anya -- I actually haven't. I'm always getting my pants shortened, so perhaps I should try altering the waist too. Good idea
