Every time I see a shirt dress advertised, I think, "huh." And then I see another one, and I think "huh." And then finally I see a third one, a few weeks later, and I think, "okay, maybe I will try that sometime soon."
Well, today I happened to be watching the video for one of my favorite songs, "Let's Hear it for the Boy," by Deniece Williams. The real star of that video is the amazing dancing, but a close second is the amazing shirt dress she wears. A great graphic pattern with that architectural 80s style, belted with a red belt, and I am pretty sure her shoes are red, too.
And this made me really want to get a shirt dress, I think because it showcases just how much you can move in it. I would probably belt it, and if I could get that urban polish like Williams, I would do it. Either way, it looks like a fun try.
Do you wear shirt dresses? Or would you try? (And here I specifically mean the button-down kind.) What are your thoughts?
