Ha Steph, good guess! I am happy you like it. I was a little worried to ship it directly like that but it would have never arrived in time if I have it to be shipped to Canada first and then ship it to you myself.
That was really fun - thanks, Megan!

Oh, this is fun! April, I'm so glad you like the necklace. I thought it would make a good layering piece. As for the TimTams, I was smacking my forehead because I forgot to buy any for myself. :O

My thoughtful SS gift was from MaryK all the way from the west coast:) She sent me a fab oversized pearl necklace and two silvertoned pendant necklaces: one with a fun owl and the other with a cool pair of rhinestoned wings! Thank you so much Mary! I'll have fun playing around with these

I officially have the most thoughtful Secret Santa ever!! I have a theory about who it it may be, but I'll share that in a second.
My envelope contained a lovely sterling silver and fresh-water pearl necklace, lariat length, that has no clasp and essentially gets styled many ways like a scarf. It's creative, original and very me, and I adore it!! What really elevated the gift, though, were the additional touches in the envelope. Santa included detailed written instructions explaining a couple of styline options, two actual pictures of how said styling options should look, and a braille Christmas card! So, so sweet, thank you!!

Now, I love using deductive powers, and even before I received the envelope I had figured out a few things about my Santa. She was operating on the same time zone as me (based on our forum and Elfster responses) and she was fairly established on the board (she knew Corey's name). I got two more significant clues when the envelope came, i.e. the Washington D.C. postmark and the fabulously indepth detail on the written styling instructions. It sure sounded like Steph to me!! Let me know if I'm right.

Thank you secret santa......Jenava!!!! I recieved the beautiful purple scarf in the post below! That is also how I knew who it was! It looks great with my black winter coat, and I'm going to try it with some clothes soon! It came from Norstrom which is cool because I don't have that store in my area! Thanks again! Also Happy Birthday Megan and thank you for putting this together! We should do it more than once a year! (wink, wink)

Happy Birthday Megan and Sveta.
Turns out that I didn't wait for midnight to open my present and just opened it this morning.
As you can see from the photo I received two lovely pairs of earrings and a sweet sweet sweet postcard. My SS knew that I was searchig for some earrings with black on it, and of course the blue flowers will go explendidly with my teals.I can already think of some outfits with both of them, in several Seasons .
Thank you so much my wonderful Santa, not only your presents are perfect but lighten up some not great days I've been going trough.
And who is my SS?
Well, it is from much warmer Tampa , Florida. And I'm pretty sure the name on the postcard reads Vani
Thank you so much!

Yay Karen! I can't believe it took that long to get to you! I really like the colors and the crinkled look of the scarf and I hope you enjoy it! I'm not sure if you have Lucky Brand in AUS so I wanted to get you something unique to the States!

I received a package from Seattle... containing a package of ADORABLE polka dot hosiery and some yummy organic fair trade chocolate bars! I am guessing that my santa is forum member Laurel (her writing style and location make me assume this!).

I am already wearing the polka dot tights today. Off to work I go!

This is so fun!

I have to share this...my husband, who's very picky when it comes to all things fashion and jewelry, came downstairs this morning and saw the necklace from my Secret Santa and said, "Now this is a piece of jewelry that I really like. That will look great will all sorts of things, like..." Then he listed off a bunch of shirts I own that will be enhanced by said necklace. You pleased the impossible Secret Santa elf!

Marianna, how perfect are those stockings on you! Your outfit is totally chic!

And April, you have TIMTAMS in your gift! Next year I want Beth to be MY SS I adore TimTams...

Megan, thanks again for organizing!

what fun this is.. I chose not to participate, but I'm having a blast watching you all open your gifts
Such good taste around here Marianna... you look fabulous in that whole outfit. The hose just take it to KILLER. Have you lost weight? You're looking very slim.

Finally, the day is here! I am loving everyone's gifts!

I just wanted to thank my secret santa. I love, LOVE, everything. Thank you for the coziest pair of gloves, in one of my favorite colors and the gorgeous brooch. I am wearing both today!
I would not even dare to guess who you are. I honestly have no idea.
I loved to see the second package from Etsy. I love everything from there.
I will not be able to post pictures until maybe tonight. My home laptop is giving me grief and my child is kind of stingy with hers.
Thank you so much Megan for organizing this and happy birthday.

Michelle, good guess! I made the necklace myself, and I actually ended up making myself one as well when I was done with yours! Also, I might not have mentioned it, but there is some kyanite in the necklace, which is a sapphire blue color--I thought it would go well with several of your outfits. I hope the photos help if you're having trouble figuring out how to wear the necklace (I realize someone will have to describe it to you, but I thought it might be useful). I'm also happy to talk via PM if you have any questions about it.

Also, I have the photos I took on my computer, so if you want me to save you the trouble of taking them and posting them, I can do that easily.

Oh, Sveta, I'm so excited that I guessed right! Thanks again for the headband, and happy birthday!

Mariana, I agree that the tights are great, AND I agree that you are looking like you have lost quite a bit of weight!

Steph, you made it?? Colour me super impressed!! It's a great necklace, and the styling instructions you provided were crystal clear -- you have a real knack for this sort of thing, which is part of why I was able to guess it was you. Thank you thank you! And seriously, tracking down a braille card is the sweetest thing.

Michelle, I did make it. I started making jewelry a few years ago for fun, so I was SO excited when I picked someone who wanted jewelry!

I am attaching the photos here of two of the ways to wear the necklace because they are easy to see since I have them on a necklace form. But I'm excited to see it on you!. Also, PLEASE let me know if the necklace is too short or too long. I can easily adjust it for you by adding or taking out links--it is something that will literally take me a couple of minutes.

Beth, I don't know how you knew it was me! I thought I blacked out my return address on the label! Must have left an old label on the recycled mailing box? Anyway, I had a blast picking those things out and I'm glad you like them!

My gift is a yummy teal faux reptile belt from Talbots! LOVE! It came from the East Coast with a lovely note, wrapped in beautifully artisanal paper. I have an idea who it's from... want to check and see if I'm right about the geography! Thank you, Secret Santa!

MaryK -- were you right?

Nope! The person I was thinking of isn't in the swap! LOL

So now I have to start over...

I got a beautiful pearl, rhinestone and chain necklace. My dear elf chose well: I am in love with my necklace and am already planning to wear it for my birthday tomorrow!
My package came all the way from Anchorage, Alaska, so while it did not have a name on it, I am guessing it is from Una/Alaskagirl!:) Thank you very much!

Wow, Steph, that necklace is indeed gorgeous! I can't wait to see Michelle wearing it.

oh! Marianna, you guessed correctly! I'm so delighted you're wearing the hose already, they are the exact same kind that Angie wore in our Seattle meetup, and I saw that you commented that you wanted a pair... yay! online stalking paid off...

and the chocolate will hopefully be enjoyable too... ;o)

This has been so fun to read and see all the FAB gifts! I'll be sure to participate next time! Great job all you secret santas!

I was trying to hold off until after I finished my research paper that's due today, but I figured I had waited long enough. My secret santa got me two WONDERFUL scarves, in YLF colors! One is a lime green pashmina, and the other in raspberry/fuchsia infinity loop! I love the colors, and Jack the cat seems to like them too!

Here you can see the series of events:
1) Jack looks at the scarf
2) Jack touches the scarf
3) Jack gets cuddled
4) Jack decides to behave himself
5) Jack behaves himself
6) Jack notices the scarf is different, maybe he can touch this one (!)
7) Jack starts to make a move
8) Jack gets cuddled again!

I have no idea who my secret santa is, since the package came straight from Amazon, but I am VERY grateful for the scarves! They have certainly brightened my day! Now I can lounge on the couch writing my term paper wearing a sweet scarf! THANKS!

ETA: Jack has found a new plan of attack, as seen in photos 9-11!

My gift came in the mail today! Just a few minutes ago, I said to my husband, "I wonder if the mail is here yet?" and he went to look. When he came back, I asked what came in the mail. "An REI catalog, and.... THIS!" as he held up the most exciting package ever, all covered in danish flags. "DENMARK! I got a package from Denmark!!" was all I could say as I oohed and aahed over the stamps and exciting foreignness of it all.

When I opened it, I was not disappointed. "A postcard! I wanted a postcard, and my secret santa elf sent me one!!!", a lovely card from Copenhagen depicting the little mermaid statue.

And then, the most exciting moment of all... when I realized my gift was from none other than NOA NOA! Oh my! It was a gorgeous scarf style beaded necklace/belt, and I LOVE IT! And my husband also thought it was really cool. It is! Although the photo really doesn't do it justice.

So, the moment of truth... After I calmed down, I noticed a small signature on the lower left corner of my package. It was from Lynne! An aussie in Denmark? So lovely, thank you Lynne!

DH is not feeling well today and I dont have a clue how to upload pics, but I got 2 beautiful necklaces and a set of bangle bracelets from my wonderful secret santa! Thank you SOOO much!

MaryK... who could it be...

So fun! I'm looking forward to receiving mine and guessing who it might be from.

Laurel, your photos are hysterical! I love them!

Bella, you are right! I had to put my address on the package according to the postal worker... I hope you like it as much as I do! In fact, I bought the same one for myself...

My elf sent a lovely pair of lacy tights and a pair of skin-tone (MY skin-tone!) hose to wear under them... I can't wait to plan an outfit around them! My package did have my elf's name so I know it was crwilson, and if I didn't know I have no idea how I would ever have guessed! Thank you so much!

Aaaa! I know my Santa is from NJ, but I have no idea who it is! How do I see the addresses, or do you guys just have each other's addresses memorized??

My gift was so thoughtful, it makes me smile thinking about it. My santa got me a scarf (which I need) in blue (which is a perfect color for me) and it's solid colored; I do love solids, and it's a mix of navy and cobalt! I don't think my santa knew, but I adore tonal mixes of colors. I opened it before work this morning and I sooooo wanted to wear it but it didn't go with my outfit (I wish I had worn it anyway)! It will be the perfect thing to soften all my black clothes!

I also got a sweet note on cool stationary. Who could be my santa??

Hmm, it's funny. When Dawn posted that her gift recipient would know who she was because she had to write her name for customs, I thought to myself how thrilled I would be if I were the one to see her name on the package. She has such fantabulous taste and I covet virtually everything in her closet. I *knew* she would choose something amazing.

...and ineed, I was very lucky

I got the cutest pair of OTK socks in the world--with velvet bows! And two pairs of textured hose (one of which is much needed after I got a run in my existing pair of swiss dot tights). AND there was a delightful surprise: A box of *real* loose leaf Irish breakfast tea! I drink Irish breakfast exclusively, several times a day

Thank you so much Dawn! They were well worth the wait--and just in time too (it's getting cold!). I am going to make my tea tonight and it will be delicious I just can't stop smiling as I post this

Will post piccies tomorrow!
