Super cute! Okay, I am stealing Aida's thunder (she's doing the write-up from our L.A. meet-up) but I have to tell you why I ended up buying Cons on my trip.
I don't think they're *that* comfortable, but we had been hiking all over a college campus for the flea market and I was wearing cheap Target flats. They were comfortable, but not for hiking miles and miles. By the time we got to the Lab (shopping center) my dogs were barking so loudly and I didn't want to hold everyone up. I went into a thrift store looking to buy a pair of shoes, ANY pair of shoes that would be better than my flats. The Cons were there and only $17.00 so I bought them and wore them out of the store.
They are not as comfortable as my trainers, but they are as comfortable as my Ked's boat sneakers and more comfortable for shopping than any of my flats. They are getting softer and more broken in and they are *growing* on me. I've worn them everyday for the past 3 days as I have been on the never ending jeans hunt.
Oh, and another thing. I am more of a ladylike white Keds girl than a boys' Converse type. But now I notice other women wearing Cons and I think, "Yeah, she gets it!" I still don't look down at my feet and think they're pretty, but I feel young and hip when I have them on. I'm not sure I would have ever tried them if I hadn't been desperate, but I'm glad I did! Those leopard ones are the cat's meow. If you are ever going to try them, that pair would be the one to get!
