Leggings - with tunic sweater this time

Sorry to be so needy but I wanted to post a better picture of this tunic sweater dress from my Nordstrom appointment too. Vix had commented about top length in my other "bottoms" thread. 1. First grouping is the NYDJ leggings with the Halogen sweater dress tunic, also my Spiegel moto and then just the sweater with my NAS down jacket. My hesitation about this sweater has been the length with outerwear, but I think the little bit of sweater peeking out is ok? Oh, and these are the Aetrex boots I ended up with after reluctantly returning the Blondos.

2. Just for giggles (grimaces?) I paired it, and the red Pleione top, with my Gap Academy blazer. And the red Pleione with the Spiegel jacket. Fails all, I believe, for different reasons.

3. With the famed chunky Gap sweater from last winter. Better than the pairings in 2 but still too short?

Sorry about the wonky hair, I hadn't done anything but brush it before taking the pictures this morning. The more I wear this Spiegel moto, the more I like it. I'm just now noticing in the pictures how flattering the back seams and panels are.

I'm always open to critiques and suggestions - I think I'm leaning toward keeping the leggings and the tunic sweater but not the red Pleione.

The leggings with the pleather stripe down the side are kind of calling to me now. If I'm going to wear a legging, maybe it should be more of a statement?

Love the leggings with the blue sweater tunic. Fabulous on you! And they look great with both the Spiegal and the coat. I was all prepared to hate the tunic with the coat, by the way, because I'm usually a fussbudget about tops peeking out from coat-type outerwear, but in this case it works perfectly because the coat matches the leggings, creating coherence. The boots look great, too. Hurray!

I still like the Pleione top for with jeans, even if it is a bit short for the leggings. I do think the Gap sweater works with the leggings, though. Yes, it's shorter than the tunic but especially since the colour value is close to the leggings, the proportions are not at all displeasing to my eye.

Yes to 1 and 3! I see no problems with the coat/sweater length, and I like the red top for wear with other casual pants.

Beth Ann, yes I am feeling good, particularly in the tunic. Not quite up there with my white jeans/gray top from the other day, but close. I appreciate your bringing this up. I wish I was 1/10th as articulate as you and so many others on the forum!

1 and 3 look great! Like the blue color on you, and the length of both tops works well with the leggings. The boots are really nice, too.

I have no problem with any of these regarding length and topper on top. But I am smitten by nr. 1! A perfect siloutte and proportions, which I too aim for, but so hard to find it exactly!!!!

I really like #1 and #3. Something about the proportions on #2 aren't working to my eye.

How do you feel int he sweater dress? I just love wearing tall boots, they always make me feel more confident and stand taller. No idea why, but I tend to have a sugar eye for outfits with them

I like # 1 best. I like the pleone top with your coloring. I think the leather striped leggings sound nice.

I really like the first tunic with the pants and I think both the leather jacket and the coat work just fine. That chunky sweater is terrific and though it could be a bit longer, I think it also works well with the pants. I think the red top could be really nice with different pants or with jeans. Would you consider keeping it for that?

#1 rocks! #3 works too if you like it in different views--I agree, the dark tones and the boxy cut allow the shorter length to still work over leggings.
The jackets work fine. Something about leather motos--I think our eyes are adjusted to tops hanging out, and also the lapels balance the tunic's volume. So it's quite good.
