I have been using the Sally Hansen airbrush. I find it not easy to apply without streaks, so am wondering if I am doing something wrong, and or is there a better kind? It sure solves the problem of too white legs and feet, and I get red splotchy when I get cold. Also not ready yet to start the self tanning stuff, as it is still early in the season and we have one nice warm day and the next day cold. also not doing bare legs, just the bit around ankles and a bit above with the BF jeans, and flats or no sock shoes., ankle booties, etc.

I've only tried the Sally Hansen stuff once, and it was a disaster! It didn't look that good or really cover the splotches and veins, and it rubbed off on my clothes and on the seat of my car. It went straight into the trash!
I guess some people like it, but I've done much better with Jergens Natural Glow gradual tanner. Or just plain old pale and splotchy legs!

Leg makeup is NOT worth it to me. Especially if you are only exposing a small amount of ankle or leg with pants, I wouldn't worry about it.

Otherwise, when I am exposing my legs I will use self-tanner for a while to help camouflage uneven skin tone (not to turn them orange, just a hint of colour). And when it is still cool, I have absolutely no issue wearing nude-for-me hose. Knee-high stockings are an alternative for shorter pants this time of year, too, if you aren't comfortable exposing bare skin.

Yeah, I've not yet seen a self-tanner or makeup that looked convincing around drier skin on ankles or knees I don't think (or else it was really convincing and I didn't even notice it was makeup ). I just go pale or use a tiny bit of face concealer if I'm hiding a cat stratch or something.

MAC has a body foundation that I understand is very good plus it does not budge.

I second the Jergens natural glow, They reformulated a few years ago and it no longer has that weird smell. It looks very natural on me and I am quite fair.

Nude fishnets for me. I have always been too lazy to try self tanner. Once in awhile I use concealer on a bruise if I have one.

How is the coverage on the MAC body makeup I wonder?

I'm crazy, but I take the Clarins self tanner that I have for summer and in the palm of my hand I mix:

Enough moisturizer to go on my legs
+
a small dab of self-tanner (not enough to do a true self-tanning)
+
a smidge of tantilizer or other bronzer and slather it on and it
=
a super slow build up of self-tan, but a bit of tint from the bronzer and no worries about the whole self-tan mistake blotches.

That's how I resolve the not-quite-ready-for-full-self-tan conundrum. It also makes me feel better about spending such a ridiculous amount on my self-tanner. However, I have to say, the Clarins one is absolutely the best for my pale skin tone.

I think there is something called body makeup that models use. I don't anything more than that, however. Maybe you could look online for a modeling discussion forum and see if anyone has asked for recommendations for body makeup?

I love that stuff and definitely use it. I love how it has a little amount of shimmer to it. I spray it into my hands and then rub it in

I used to use the Jergens Natural Glow but switched over to Nivea Sunkissed Beautiful Legs because of the smell. It's hard to mess it up, no streaks and just evens out my legs to match my arms if I use it for a few days.

I embraced pale is pretty some time ago. I am very pale - - - so pale in fact my legs are almost pink. Yep, I bare 'em without care or concern. They are my legs and I decided they are good enough exactly the color they are.
