I'm thinking of getting a pair of leather shorts as a substitute for a shorter skirt because you don't have to worry about coverage in the same way you do with a mini, which means for versatile options if you want to go bare-legged. These look really cool with the cutwork--envisioning a white blouse, black tights, black flats, and shorts. Maybe a long lack cardigan, too. My concern is whether they are objectively too short. I have fairly short legs, 5'6", 29" inseam. Also not sure about the quality, but in any event, they can still go into the fantasy wardrobe.
