Leather legging suggestions?

I am sending back the leather skinnies I ordered from Amazon. The fit is great but I'm not loving the shade of green. Anyone have suggestions for leather skinnies or leggings at a reasonable price? My only issue is that I'm not a fan of the Ponte in bAck style for me - it reminds me too much of cross country ski gear/wind blocking pants....

Do you want to wear as skinnies or as leggings? Real leather of faux? Or coated fabric?

As skinnies. Would probably wear with longer tops only though as I do with all my skinnies. Faux is okay but after reading about waxed I think that will just wash off and be too high maintenance.

Una - I am a late adopter: I just bought my first pair of leggings. They are black knit with a wide faux leather stripe up the side. They are real purty and comfy, but I don't know how to build an outfit around them. Culture shock.

Don't cheap out on the them. My cheapo ones bagged at knees after a few years.
I like my Acne ones I got on sale. Have yet to wear the Elizabeth and James ones from NAS.
Shopstyle shows some Helmut Lang ones on sale.
