I am at the mall and tried this leather jacket as well a every other jacket in the store. It us a dark bottle green. Buy or not?

The green jacket had a flaw so I went to another Danier. I tried on another jacket and am adding the pics. I was going back and forth and tried each of them on at least 3 or 4 times. Ignore the wonky face in the last one. T took the pic when I wasn't looking.

What do you think?

I like both but I am thinking that the green is a more unexpected addition to your wardrobe. The second jacket is gorgeous but while the color is perfect and would work well in your wardrobe, I am wondering do you already have something similar?

Oh that second one is a blink one isn't it? I have been stalking that one on the website-- it looks great in person! Even better than online.

Is he green one the same that merwoman got in cognac? With the stitching at the shoulders and elbows?

Deborah, yes I do have a purple jacket and considered that when I was trying them on. I considered what each of them would work with that is in my closet and the fit, color. It was really close but I ended up bringing the purple home. I can return it tomorrow if I need to. They have a really good return policy.

Ceit, I checked and it isn't the same one. The one merwoman got is very nice too and I tried it on but the fit didn't work quite as well. The one I got is Danier. I had never heard of Blink until today. Interesting. There was only one jacket on the website by Blink.

Is it just me or has your style started becoming a bit more edgy since you got your hair cut?

I like the first one better. I have a thing with symmetry. The two different front pockets on the second one bother me.

Thanks Shannon. I am not sure if I am getting more edgy or have just accepted my weight gain and am buying clothes that work instead of trying to camouflage.

I bought the jacket as an early b-day gift from me to me. Tony bought me a pair of Ecco booties in grey and I bought a pair of black patent lace up boots that are similar to the Docs but with a bit more heel.

There's something very liberating about accepting our bodies as they are and embracing it - it opens the doors to possibilities.

I have seen both of them IRL and much prefer the purple on you - it is your color and I like the style better.
(I have been to Danier yesterday to return my jackets and did not buy anything...sometimes I am amazed how strong I am :-))
Blink is a style line of Danier - more edgy and less traditional. My asymmetric jacket is Blink too.
Which one did you get?

It looks awesome in the purple -- last I checked it was just available in black and brown. I definitely need to try this on this weekend!

Sveta, the purple came home with me for the night but I am quite certain it will stay. I am so tempted to go get the green too though. I also liked this one in red. The red was a really deep pinky red.

Ceit, the store I was at had black, a soft tan color and the purple. The sales staff said the purple was new to them. I found the black and purple were consistent in size but the tan was way smaller fitting.

I think that red one is the one Suz tried on. I am so excited we are getting a Danier in my city. This weekend I am going to TO to visit my sister and shop but one more good store here is very welcome.

I think we are lucky to have two close to my home. I have always loved a nice soft leather jacket and love that the color selection is so varied.

Dianthus, I tried that one in red too, had to size down though.
I am glad you got the purple. I was petting it yesterday, so gorgeous but decided this is not the right style for me. I am glad it found a happy home with you
