This week, in my favorite secondhand place, I found a black leather bomber jacket in dreamy condition. Unusually, it's fastened with buttons instead of zippers, and has buttoning cuffs and button pocket details. Very Katherine Hepburn.
Do you think this is classic, or outdated? Were you wearing a leather jacket around this spring? Please let me know! I'm in New Zealand and a) leather jackets are CRAZY EXPENSIVE here, so I don't see them being worn much b) the weather is cruel to leather jackets, and I get nervous wearing my supernice leather moto jacket in the rain, whereas this one was $17.
I tend towards clean-cut/polished/some vintage - I live in NYDJ jeans, or slim skirts/ slim knit dresses, with the occasional full-skirted dress that has a 50s vibe, and I tend to carry a contemporary black leather bag.
