Layering turtlenecks with necks that stay up?

I could stand to have another lightweight layering turtleneck. I have a tissueweight burgundy one from JCrew that I like...except the neck slouches down and I would prefer it to have enough substance to stay up (otherwise, why bother? Just wear a crew neck, right?).

The Lands End ones get good reviews -- anybody know how the weight is? I want light, not too thick or warm. Any other recommendations?

I'm eyeing the Prevost from Kit and Ace for a layering turtleneck. No idea about Lands End.

No recommendations but I had the same issue with a top recently and what I did was sew in a press stud (sorry, but I have forgotten what Americans call them!) at the back of the collar to take up some of the slack. As a result it fits much closer to my neck. It is hidden by my hair and easily undone when you want to remove the top.

The supima Lands End stay up pretty well. Not as well as the LL Bean turtlenecks of my youth (worn with a Fair Isle sweater every winter day of prep school) but not strangling like those, either.

Just saw this - I have several Lands End layering turtlenecks and really like them. I think they qualify as light, and not too thick or warm - definitely not tissue. I've never had a problem with the neck falling down. It stays up and fits like a gentle hug.
