Angie, that’s a great post—I’m half a foot taller than she is, by no means petite, but her guidelines for petites wearing Buffalo plaid sound just right for me. Whenever I’ve tried that pattern, I’ve felt clownish and overwhelmed.

Super cute both in lavender and on the blogger in toffee. And I think the tips work for anyone who feels overwhelmed by large prints. Eg. I'm not petite but I have smaller facial features. I gotta say I don't like the sweater under the vest though - it starts to look a bit busy to my eye, broken up like that. Not meant as a negative assessment so much as a point of interest.

I like that the sweater comes in colors. The lavender is unusual and unexpected with burgundy. I am thinking about the toffee color but there are other things I need more and petite would probably be too short. What type of wool is the sweater made of? Does it look like it will pill easily?

Joy, I have not seen the sweater personally. I see the garment lengths for the various sizes are in the description. Angie put up the link above in her comment to Susan at Un Femme who is recommending it. It is not a sponsored post so I trust her recommendation, or perhaps direct questions to her. Unusual pieces, I am not such a check fan but these look special.
