Lavender

As a restless sleeper, I made a new year's resolution to try and take a warm relaxing bath before going to bed hoping it relaxes me. I am trying to find a fragrant lavender bath product...any recommendations? I tried the L'Occitaine Lavender foaming bath product but didn't feel it was worth the price, $40.00. Love their hand creme, the smell lingers, which is wonderful, unfortunately the bath product does not do this.

I really like the Dr Teal's bubble baths. They're at drugstores and Ulta for only $5 or so for a big bottle. They also have scented Epsom salt soaks, I believe lavender is an option.

Lush also makes a nice lavender bath bomb. I think it's called Twilight?

You might want to try a little bottle of pure oil of lavender. A few drops added to your bath, or on a ball of cotton tucked into your pillowcase, could do the trick. I bought mine at a California winery famous for their lavender gardens, but I'm sure you can find the pure oil online. I never travel without it.

I second Dr. Teal's. I love their scented epsom salts soaks, and have also used the Lavender bubble bath, which is great. And you can't the price.

I second tulle. Pure oil in regular bath will do the trick. You can also put a drop near your pillow.

If you take that route, than make sure lavander oil is in dark bottle, as all pure essential oils need to be stored that way. Light damages them.

I also recommend approaching the issue from several different aspects, diet including. Eating carbs or sugar late definitely disrupts my sleep, and waking up too.

Also, swimming is a fantastic way of wearing your entire body and sleeping deeply.

Camomile tea in the evening.

Relaxing, whichever way. When there's too much going on, my brain seems to switch on at crazy hour like 4 or 5, and I cannot sleep any longer on such days.

Know your natural rhythm, are you a lark or an owl, and see if you can adhere to it.

Atkinsons! The best lavender products ever. I suggest spraying some lavender (eau-de-cologne or extract ) on your bed sheets. I do that especially in Summer. The fresh smell helps me sleep better.

The best lavender products I have bought were from a market in Montreal. I bought lavender sachets for my suitcase, lingerie drawer and to put under my pillow. They also had essential oils. That is what I would use if I took baths (I don't - I only shower). I love the smell of lavender but I would not want it on my skin.
