This morning I went to the gym at six as usual for a Monday. I got home and was about to get undressed for a shower when there was a knock on my door from a neighbour.

"Did you want your car back? " he said pointing across the road.

My car was on the grass verge across the road, at right angles to the road, leaning up against a pole.

I realised that I must have not put the hand brake on, and my car slowly reversed down my driveway, across the footpath, across the road and up the other side.

Luckily:

1) No-one was hurt. While it would have been slow speed it could have easily hit a pedestrian or car or bike as there would have been no noise.

2) Damage is very minimal.

3) My neighbour did not have his phone on him or it would be all over Facebook and he is very well known with lots of contacts. He is a great guy.

I did provide my neighbours with a big laugh for the morning and I chuckle about them coming across the car in such a position. I am back home now and the very nice car parked across the street now does not realise how much at risk they are....
