Late season Seattle boot shopping

I know I know - this is terribly late to be shopping for boots. I just moved to a different neighborhood south of Seattle and I'm new to bus commuting, so now need to revamp my shoes. I've been in the same pair of Keens for weeks! I'm looking online at Zappos and such, I know there's nothing in stores right now. I've been looking at booties and ankle boots so I don't have to worry about calf width issues (around 16"). Any other suggestions would be great - thanks!
The picky:
A black pair or a nuetral (gray, cognac, camel) pair
Comfortable for walking and standing
Wide feet
Good with pants and/or knee-length skirts
Lowish heel or flat
Can wear socks with them

I quite like the first pair in grey Sparkettauw, and you're right, you can never have enough pairs of fab boots and comfy footwear when you're commuting by bus and/or walking a lot, in a colder and rainier climate.

I do also love a brighter colour boot for this time of year (when I start to get a little bored with the darker Winter colours and the weather just isn't cooperating yet) + they look marvelous peeping out from under white and blue jeans, dressy trousers etc.
Light coloured ones are another good option.

Frye boots aren't cheap, but they are built to last and usually very comfy.

I'm glad you all liked the first gray pair - but I ended up not getting them. It was not a wide shoe, and the reviews were less stellar than the others.
I did get both of the Clarks from Zappos. Wow I love them! Great footbeds, and the leather is soft and lovely. I'm wearing the black Ruby Glimmers right now with a loose denim pencil skirt and leggings! I got the brown Clarks Rosabelle in a 9W and they were too big, so they're going back. I'm hoping I can get a smaller size elsewhere (Zappos was out).
