JAileen - DH is retiring too! I'll be at home 2 weeks before. I've figured I'll have 60 extra hours per week I don't have now! 10 will automatically go to sleep (8 hours vs my current 6), then another 10 for piano. Garden time will absorb a lot, but I won't be as desperate or have to 'speed garden' like I do now. Instead of squeezing workouts late at night, I can get them in during the day, and read books in the pm. I haven't watched TV in 3 years, so hope to find a 'date night' show to watch with DH.
Unfrumped - quality of life is my mantra, and just recently YOLO! DH has unfortunately seen a few of his friends and workmates die too young (late 50's - early 60's) and I think it has affected us.
Firecracker - if I wear every top with every bottom, there will be no outfit repeats over the 80 day period! However, not every top goes with every bottom, and I don't mind repeats. I should be good!
Classically Casual - I surprised myself during a recent trip when I brought a pair of slacks designated as work bottoms, but they ended up being travel work horses! I'm thinking I would like to move one skirt into my 'dressy' capsule, and the t-shirts and sweaters are just as likely to be weekend faves as as comfortable work wear. The button downs are the outliers. I never wear button downs on the weekend, but I've packed them for hot weather vacations....
Eliza and LaPedestrienne - the bicycle skirt is a recent gift from my mother! I need a few tops to 'go' with it, though. It is a 'keeper' for sure!
