It's official! After 40 years in the workforce, 30 with my current employer, I will be retiring from the labour market. I have 80 work days left with my last day at work mid March 2018. With that in mind, I put together a work capsule to see me through the next 5 months.

First I had to purge most of my older bottoms, because I've lost some weight and dropped 2 sizes in the past 3 years. (I'm dealing with an autoimmune condition that affects my GI system.) A few oversized garments have been donated as well. I've picked up 3 bottoms in my new size, and this week I visited Nordies and got bra fitted and refreshed my lingerie. The only things I want to add are a wine coloured sweater, and a jacket - maybe a check with blue and wine in it?

I'm going to challenge myself to wear the heck out of my button downs, and depend less on sweaters and T-shirts. Trousers are basic, with a pair of dark wash jeans for casual Friday's. Skirts aren't my favourite in the winter, but with tall boots should work. Dressy shoes will migrate to the office once there is snow, and return home in the spring. I'm not adverse to wearing my sneaks at work. A jacket and a bomber for an extra layer.

Thoughts, advice, are welcomed. I would especially like to hear from anyone who has gone through this already. Come spring I will have to figure what to keep for the next chapter in my life!
