Las Vegas for New Year's.....what to wear?

My husband, son, and I are headed to Las Vegas for three days over the New Year's holiday. DH is still dealing with some health problems, but he's been cleared to travel so we decided to do something over the top to end 2012 and ring in 2013. We're not big gamblers, but we'll see some shows and eat some good food. We have tickets for the Cirque show "Love" and also for the magicians Penn and Teller. And DS and I can shop....or at least window shop!

I was hoping the weather would be a little warm, but it's going to be COLD in Vegas! High of 52 F during the day and down to 32 F at night. I wanted to replicate Angie's dress + denim jacket look, but now I'm wondering if I'll be too cold. I'm thinking maybe I could still wear the same look, but add tights and boots. We were there in winter several years ago. It was sunny and so it was nice in the sun but cold in the shade. Due to the dryness it probably won't feel as cold as damper places.

I also found LV to be very casual - people walking through the casinos in their swimsuits (obviously in summer).

Be sure to go to Caesar's Forum. It was amazing.

I've been in October, and it was COLD and windy at night. I wore a sweater dress with fleece lined tights and boots, with a parka over the top, and kicked myself for not bundling up more. :T

I have never been to Vegas but my sister was there for the holidays, last year. She froze her butt off and was coming from NYC, she can handle cold....
Bundle up, I guess the clime is quite deceiving.
