I had found this image a few months ago and really like it. The bright, cheery round scarf against the strong vertical lines of the moody backdrop of black and blue. I do think that what's required (or preferable) for balance purposes isn't just a long enough upper half. I think if she weren't long throughout her body, the scarf would overwhelm and, rather than a pop of color, look like a gigantic cherry atop a tiny ice cream cone. Maybe it still does! I had never noticed any problem with her hair draping down over the scarf.
