Well, that title is not quite accurate, but my laptop has died in a big way and is now at the Best Buy Geek Squad hospital for further diagnosis.
It’s looking likely that buying a new one (or a refurbished one) will be more economical than fixing this one. I’m going to limp along with my old Windows Vista system where everything is so old that browsers don’t really work, so no new finds for me for now, unless I go hang out at the library, which I may do. It could be two more weeks before it’s all resolved
and even with that I need to deal with reinstalling some software for which I’m not sure I have up to date licenses. Ugh Ugh Ugh! I’ve been through this sort of things enough times in my life that I know things will be ok. I also need to tighten up my already pretty good backup practices.
Posting about my trip to France and Spain will have to wait...
I didn’t have a formal NAS budget or plan to buy anything specific, although I have been following along and ordering a few things that were on my list for fall. I did order the Franco Sarto Johanna loafer in burgundy patent, and bought a charcoal grey free people split back turtleneck sweater in-store that I need to try on with some skinny jeans to see how it looks. It's a little boho/modern for me but we'll see. Also thinking about some LBDs (Nordstrom always has good options in petite sizes which I’ve been trying off and on for several months without finding "the one"), and new dressy black low heeled pumps, which are in the shopping basket on my Nordstrom iPhone app. They make it so easy to keep shopping even without a laptop
