I find regular Lands End to be a bit on the high end of sizing (mostly because most Mediums are 8-10 and theirs are 10-12. Do check the reviews though since some items have not followed this principal lately. Landsend Canvas runs more TTS I think.
Agreed with PPs. They tend to run to the larger end of the spectrum. Check their size charts, but I am with Pastrygirl. I tend to be an L or XL elsewhere, but I have taken a medium is several LE tops.
If you have a Sears near you, you can return there free.
Thank you ladies. I'll probably try the M which is a UK 14-16 hopefully it won't be too big up top. Shame they don't do a 12-14. My bottom is squarely on the 14 side of the scale and I think I'd struggle with a small which is only 10-12 x
Thistle- I'm in the UK so no Sears shops unfortunately. That is the one disadvantage of LE I'll have have lost £7 in postage if it's no good x
I wear a UK 12/14 top, due to my boobs, and I have several long-sleeved t-shirts from LE that I wear to Pilates, that are a size small, so I would go with the sizing being on the generous side!
Was just in Sears where they carry Land's End (to get my kid some snow pants). Ended up with a puffer vest for $30. Sizing is big - I'm an XS petite in their coats.
