Lafayette148:any experience?

Aziraphale asked about experience with EF. Can I ask the same about Lafayette148? Frankly their aesthetic is right up my alley. Their summer sale is on so the pieces would fit my year round weather and are just affordable for me. Someone mentioned them on the forum some time back in regards to quality corporate wear. I could swan around in wide leg pant suits with silky scoop neck tops to my heart's content...

I have a Lafayette148 dress that I quite like, and I tried on I think three or four possibilities at the time. My take away: their sizes can run big and long, and the quality of their fabrics is excellent.

The sizes definitely run big and can be inconsistent from one item to the next. I have tried several with the hope that because they are long they might work for me but they are also proportionally too wide. I am still hopeful because I agree that they have some beautiful items.

I have trouble getting a good fit in their items, but agree that fabrics are a strong point and also that they DO do collections, so if that year's group were in one's style & color palette it could be a capsule gold mine. Although, sometimes it seemed that some of the Items were too dramatic for my sort of workwear. Spendy at full price, but again, potential for luxe looks for the right person.

Thank you. I have ordered this jacket as an international sale, and no returns. They have been so helpful with providing measurements etc. And it sounds like their sizing will work for me as I am tall and curvy so.... thank you Staysfit and Ummlila -we will see.
Unfrumped, I will watch out for the colour capsules... another weak spot for me...

I have a silk blouse from them that is probably 12 or more years old -- it still looks like new. It has a pattern like marbelized paper, which I adore. I think it actually was in an episode of What Not to Wear (the after, of course) eons ago. I haven't checked them out much lately but I believe their stuff is well made.

I don't own any of their pieces, but have tried some at the local Nordstrom. They seem to be very well made and the fabrics are lovely. They also seem to run a bit large,

I recently tried on some Lafayette pants on clearance. The fit was really off on me, so I didn't buy, but the quality of the fabric/workmanship was amazing.
