... for a mini meet up?

I am driving down to LA on Monday and except for the morning of Tuesday 1/24, am free any time through Thursday 1/26. I would be down for lunch, afternoon or evening shopping or an after-work get-together. I am staying near downtown, but would be willing to drive practically anywhere to meet you.

The only New Year's resolution I made for 2012 was to meet at least one YLFer IRL. I know it's short notice, thanks for considering it!

Ohh! The 24th would probably work for me. I could drive up for a little shopping in the afternoon and then do dinner. I'm just going to mark myself as a maybe at this point though, since I am having some car issues and need to get it looked at. It runs fine- the battery is just dying when not driven for a day.

Khris, thanks for sending me the link! No, I didn't see it and I would LOVE to see my YLF peeps!! Yay, Denise, this is one of my 2012 resolutions, too, to do as many of these meet-ups as I can. I live in Orange County and will drive wherever and whenever to see you FAB women for fun, fabgab and shopping.

Yes - Yes - Yes! I don't know my schedule yet - but I'll do whatever it takes to try tomake this work! Vicki, could I get a ride with you???? Denise, have you considered spending a day in Or. County???? We've got some great shopping areas down here too! Lets get a date nailed down asap so I can work on my schedule and transportation, OK? (Excited!)

Yay! I just got off work and am thrilled to see your responses! So -- this is what *might* work so far:

1/24 -- meet up after work, somewhere in LA (Rae's on the west side, MaryK's in Pasadena). Khris a potential to join. I could meet Khris earlier in the afternoon for shopping. Rae and MaryK, does 1/24 work for you?

1/25 or 1/26 -- Orange County a possibility. If Marley and Vicki can't come up to LA on 1/24, I could drive down to the OC for the day and meet you all there, I am happy to pick you up Marley. Marley and Vicki, which date is better for you?

Tarzy -- I am PMing you separately. I am staying in Elysian Park/Echo Park area so Hollywood or Eagle Rock or Pasadena are really easy for me as well.

Denise, that's great news and I'm available all three days, so far, and am happy to drive with Marley. If you'd like an OC day at Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza and Metro Pointe, we can do that. Or, we can meet the large group and do one BIG THING. Marley, what do you think?

What about an evening meet up for whoever wants to join, it sounds like LA would be easier for those who are working? For 1/24 Tuesday evening.

And also a shopping day, if others with the time are so inclined! I am greedy for YLF time.

I could do either LA or OC- both are about equal in distance for me, but the 24th is really the only day that works for me. I don't know of that helps or makes it more confusing. I'd love one big gathering, but Denise might want to spread things out to keep busy. I'm assuming my car will be ok.

I should have mentioned that I can't get to OC after work - it'd take me about 3 hours, lol. But any of your three days works for me, so if there are going to be multiple meetups, then I'm sure I can make one of them.

I'm open (and excited!) about anything! Whatever Vicki is up to doing, I'll do - because I will be riding with her! Right now, I am free any of those days (or evenings.) I'm not familiar with the L.A. shopping scene however, so someone else would need to take the lead there. Rae - keep thinking those evil thoughts!

So we have confirmed an afternoon/p.m. gathering in LA with Khris, MaryK, Rae and myself plus ... ?

I would love a day of shopping in O.C., haven't been there in years and Newport Beach is so beautiful. I can meet Vicki and Marley and hopefully Rae too at one of the malls suggested.

I will P.M. you each to make detailed arrangements. So as not to bore the forum with our tedium, or should I say teasing ... I know these gatherings evoke envy!
