I am going to be in So Cal Jan 11 -- Jan 17. I would love to hang out with any / all YLFers who have time and are interested, like we did last year. (Last year MaryK, Vicki, Rae, Khris and Marley and I met up in Beverly Hills.)

Here are some things we could meet up and do:

- hike up to the Hollywood sign then back, then get a bite
- go to LACMA (LA county museum)
- go to Huntington Gardens
- window shop Melrose Ave or Rodeo Drive
- get mani/pedis
- see a chick flick

Besides the usual beloved YLF pass times of shopping and eating.

Please leave your available times/dates as well as activity wishes, if any.

Count me in! I am at your disposal! I love all those ideas, especially the Huntington Library and Gardens because it is in my neck of the woods! LOL

Also, I was talking to my BFF Amanda today and she is itching for another swap party. Any interest in such a thing?

SO excited you will be in town! I am down for any of the activities... I'm off on 1/14, get off of dfs around 5pm on 1/15, and don't go in until 4pm on 1/16... I hope this will line up with some of the other so cal schedules so that i can join in! I know my calendar is not the most common these days.

YES! I don't get back to CA until the night of the 11th - so probably won't be up for anything on the 12th - but if we get things planned in advance, my husband and I can work around our schedules and make it work for me. Denise, did you PM Vicki?

Amanda has offered to host the swap at her apartment in Hollywood, or I could host it in Pasadena, or if anybody else wants to throw her hat into the ring we can talk about that, too!

OMG, Denise, I'm so glad you PM'ed me as I see several things on your list that sound fantastic. For OVER A YEAR I've wanted to go to LACMA to see the big new boulder along with the slot car Chris Burden exhibit (he also did the lights outside on Wilshire Blvd.). I love films and would adore a "chick flick" and a hike to the Hollywood sign would get my thighs in good shape for the new year as would a walk along Melrose Ave. and seeing the new Fluevog shoes. So, having said ALL THIS, I'm in big time and available and keeping my agenda open for your visit.

Would love to meet up with everyone! Not sure what my schedule is, but I'm sure something will work. And as shallow as it sounds, I'm up for shopping, because I don't often get the chance to get good feedback from such a stellar group of fashionistas!

This is unexpected, but it looks like I'm going to be in the LA area (Pasadena, Glendale) from Jan 11-13 as well. I'm going to be flying down and traveling light; also, right now, I don't really have any (nice) items for which I want to find another home. BUT I'd LOVE an opportunity to see some of y'all in the flesh and get to know a little better. Denise, I'll PM you as well - could you all keep me in the loop about when and where you'll be getting together? Thanks! I do hope I can make it!

Savitha/Runnerchick PMed me with her schedule. She is available on Friday 1/11 afternoon (before 7 pm) and Saturday 1/12 morning.

I would love to meet up on Friday afternoon for shopping or LACMA or whatever. However most people have day jobs so I don't know how many of us can join. Alternate or additionally (I don't know how much time you, Savitha have to devote to YLF) we could meet on Sat. a.m. as that allows the people with office jobs to join.

MaryK when were you thinking of doing the swap? I know Marley is not available on 1/11 or 1/12.

You know what? My flight from Hawaii connected through LAX today and I thought about how long it had been since I visited there and how I'd love to go back. And then I thought how much fun it would be to meet the CA YLFers and promised myself I'd visit the area sometime soon. I can't make it this soon after vacation, sadly, but I'll be there in spirit. Someday!

MaryK will host a swap starting Saturday 1/12 in the a.m. in Pasadena. Details to come.

Additionally, MarkK and I are available on Friday afternoon if anyone wants to join us for (window or real) shopping, museum or gallery hopping/ coffee / drinks / socializing!

Hi - it looks like we might have a lunch with family on Friday, but should be getting into Pasadena some time between 2 and 2:30 PM. My parents are in town for a few days (Mom is having a medical procedure), so I'm not sure what day they're leaving. I'll keep checking back here and hope to meet RunnerChick.

We have a confirmed gathering on Friday 1/11 in the afternoon. We will meet up approx. 1 pm in Pasadena, location tbd. Please PM me with your cell #s so I can coordinate directly. It looks like we have --

-Savitha/Runnerchick confirmed but meeting us later in the afternoon say 2:30
-Tara/Tarzy and Rae and Vicki are tbd -- I hope you all can make it!!!

Ladies, I hope you had a wonderful time today! Very sorry I could not make it; I had to catch up on some much-needed sleep today. Please let me know the details for the swap, though; DH said he would drive me up to see you guys if it's still happening. It would be nice to be around friends right now!

Hi Everyone - anymore plans for the week? I got in late last night and am fighting really horrible neck and back pain - but I'm hoping it will be gone by morning! Let me know, OK? Rae -- the swap has been postponed. I PMed Mary and she's not available tomorrow, Sunday. She's available Monday or Tuesday after work.

So I thought we could do something on Monday/Tuesday afternoon and then meet Mary after work -- I am happy to pick Rae up too. Would anyone be interested in LACMA?
