Kut from the Kloth Diana Question

I had mentioned in a previous post the desire to add a pair of white skinny jeans for fall/winter wear to tuck into boots/wear with booties. I have always liked the fit of Kut (perfect rise for me) and the thickness of the cloth. I'm thinking that the skinny Diana jean might be the right choice for this purpose but I'm wondering about size. For those that have do you find them TTS? Go up a size? Go down a size?

I just have the regular Kut's, not the skinny. I found the regulars to be either TTS or going down one size worked best.

Even if you don't buy them from Nordies, might be worth a look there. They regularly have good guides both in the item description and from reviewers as to fit.

Shannon, I have two pairs that I just love. My take on them was that they were not so much skinnies as they were super straights, so I just did my regular size with them. But the reason that I love them is that I can tuck them into boots but they are not so tight and skinny that I have to wear a tunic.

I have two pairs of the Dianas from a few years ago and although most people suggested sizing down, I find that the size up from what I normally wear at Gap fits me well. In fact, I find this size to be a bit smaller than my Gap and ON jeans in the lower size. I could be an anomaly though.

ETA: I know you are super busy but if you want to come over and try a pair on, you are welcome to do so on the weekend. I could even scrounge up a glass of wine.

Isabel - good point about not having to wear with tunics.

Dianthus - you're so sweet but I'm pretty sure you don't want me over with my shingles touching your jeans (a lovely band of shingles from my left hip across my stomach and sweeping up to the right breast) and sadly, I can't have any alcohol while on the anti virals I do so appreciate the offer though and would love a rain check???

I have several Diana's in various colors/ fabric and to get a true skinny (or as Angie would call, sausage casing) without bagging in the seat (no junk in the trunk) I go from my usual 10 to a 4. My thighs and calves are the fit driver, as they are the largest bits below the waist for me

Not to veer you away from the Kuts- but have you ever tried the NYDJ line? I have a pair of white skinnies that look identical (well, of course they do, they're white - haha) to the pic above. They are thick denim with a bit of stretch, soft yet totally hold their shape. Skinny enough to tuck in and can wear them with or without tucking a top in (not indecent exposure going on in the crotch area ifkwim) . Perfect jeans. Different leg lengths too. Whether they have white in stock now may be an issue....

And no tricks with the sizing - I buy what seems to be my usual size across other brands.

I haven't tried on the Dianas, but I tried the Kut Mias and like dashielle to get a skinny look like the model was wearing I had to size down from 10 to 4.

lisap, do you know what the model name is of the NYDJ's you have is? I have slender calves so having skinnies tight at the top of the legs, but too loose at the bottom is a problem for me and I prefer the ones that are really stretchy for that reason. I'm still keeping an eye out for a white jean.

rabbit - neither of them (white and the grey pair) have names in them. The grey ones are Super Skinny and the white pair just says Ankle on the inside tab. I think they were just regular skinnies. I have quite slender calves too - and both of these pair (I have them both in size 4) fit perfectly on me. Not too tight anywhere and not too loose anywhere either. I didn't even realize until I ran up to my bedroom to look that they were two different "models". Stupid things are so expensive though, but really worth the money to me as they are so comfortable.

I have white KUT Dianas that are 4 years old - excellent quality and no bagging out at all (although I know that Suz and Aida have a bagging out problem on their styles). I bought my regular size. I wish I had sized up though because they look a little too tight to my eye.

(I am however, allergic to things looking too tight going on three years now).

That said, Greg likes them and I wear them rolled at the hems or tucked into tall riding boots.

I am anywhere from a 2 to an 8, depending on brand. I err toward smaller on Kuts, not just because of bagging out but because I think they run a little generous, like NYDJ.

My experience is a bit like alaskagirl's and I think they run slightly large. Thistle's suggestion to take a close look at the reviews will help, too.

Ha! I'm wearing my white Kut Diana skinny jeans on right now! I normally wear a size 28 or size 6 in premium jeans, and size 27-28 or 4 in Gap. I also have a pair of red Diana skinny jeans. In the past I found that they were just a tad loose (like I would have to hike them up occasionally). But lately now that I gained about 8 lb over my usual and my regular jeans are too tight :(, the fit is perfect. So for me they ran TTS or slightly large.

I've not tried the white ones but I am a size 6 in every style of KUTs I've ever tried, including the Dianas. Normally I am an 8-10 so I would say they run very generous, at least for the pear-shaped. I used have a size 8 pair and a) they would not stay up without a belt, and b) I felt like they were just unflatteringly saggy (they were boot cuts though so maybe in a slouchier style the roominess would be OK, I'm not sure).
