sorry for bad quality foto. Dh has the camera. I love the print and colour. But not sure of fit and if the shape is flaterring

Hmm, I see what you mean. I feel like the shape wants a belt but then that would mess with the beautiful design.

I think it's very interesting and it fits you well. If you wanted to add a thin belt I don't think it would spoil the pattern.

The fit is a little off around the shoulders and hips. I'd love to see more pics. If you're apprehensive about the fit it's a return. I adore the print -- so gorgeous, but I agree the fit gives me pause.

Unique and beautiful. And flattering on you. Make it work if it really will work.

It's hard to tell about the fit in the photos. In some it looks like a loosely skimming shift, very nice. In one I wonder if the waist, such as it is, doesn't hit you in the wrong place. In another I wonder if the hipline of the dress juts out too much and it just needs a nip of an alteration.

Can you tell us what it is about the fit that feels wrong on you, what works, and whether you feel alterations are possible?

In my experience, for a loose sheath, if it fits in the shoulders and arms and neckline, and isn't snug anywhere on the body, it either works as is or can be altered to suit your own curves.

I find it most flattering on you. The print falls in the funky category, tho - so I understand your doubts. Do you have places to go where funky fits?

Hmmm thank you ladies. I think I have posted this before for wearing ideas. It does have better quality photos. The fit is almost the same still.

I think it is an unusual piece that wouldn't take well to belting, shortening, or turning into a more form-fitting shape. I'm with tracina in loving its fluid shape and with rachylou's point about it wearing it when you want something totally different and unique.

In my opinion, wearing a dress like this is more about having the confidence to wear something that isn't the norm. Trying to mute it into something that is more conventionally flattering just ends up looking confused. Think of Anna's confidence in when she wears some of her unique, designer items--that's the spirit you want to channel with this dress.

I'm 100% with Gaylene. Wear this with some fab shoes and confidence - it should not be toned down, and I see that the colors are more vivid than the first pics which is great.

Frankly I love it. I think I love it for it's color and the print. It fits right.
I feel comfortable. Strangely I like dresses that isn't bodycon or displays my figure. So I wanted your blessing before it earned its place in my wardrobe.

Do you love it? How do you feel it?

Do you feel bold and confident, ready to strut your stuff? if no, then I would return it.

As Gaylene said, this is not a traditional dress and you aren't going to be able to turn it into that.

Me again! I'm just back from the hairdresser, and while I was there I was flipping through some fashion mags. I nearly fell out of my seat when I saw a Dolce Gabbana dress almost identical to this one in both pattern and shape! Yours actually has a prettier face on it. So there you go - you are on trend big time!
